Vietnamese technology startup VinCSS has just been honored by Frost & Sullivan as a breakthrough innovation leader in the field of global IoT security in 2024.
Sharing the reason why Vietnamese startups were honored, global cybersecurity researcher at Frost & Sullivan Vu Anh Tien said: “IoT (Internet of Things) security is a big field and many companies are providing solutions and services related to this field.
But we chose VinCSS for this special award because of its unique approach to using FDO technology.”
FDO (FIDO Device Onboarding) is an open industry security standard issued by the FIDO Alliance in 2021 to help the process of deploying, setting up and connecting IoT devices become more automatic, fast, secure and efficient.
Vietnamese startups have chosen to apply this standard to their diverse solution ecosystem to solve security problems for typical IoT devices.
For example, VinCSS has cooperated in development and production with many units to create FDO integrated products and solutions such as: the world's first FDO integrated camera, smart parking sensor solution, the world's first FDO integrated Wi-Fi router...
In September 2024, VinCSS became the first company in the world to own an FDO certificate and the only company to own 3 FDO certificates to date.
Frost & Sullivan commented: “While many organizations are still exploring the potential of FDO, VinCSS has taken drastic steps to apply this technology into practice, becoming one of the first companies to commercialize FDO-certified products and services.”
