On February 26, in Hanoi, two Coast Guard officers, Major Luc Thai Ha and Captain Vu Quang Khai, received their assignments to participate in the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic and the United Nations Interim Security Mission in the Abyei region (UNISFA).

According to Commander of the Vietnam Coast Guard, Major General Le Quang Dao, this is the fourth time that Vietnam Coast Guard officers have been selected to participate in the United Nations peacekeeping force.
Before leaving for duty, Major Luc Thai Ha, former Assistant, International Relations Department, Coast Guard Command and Captain Vu Quang Khai, former Deputy Captain, CSB 8020 Ship, Squadron 32, Coast Guard Region 3 Command. The two officers underwent training at the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department and successfully completed the training content, ready to depart for duty.
Major Luc Thai Ha will take up the position of Intelligence Analyst at the Central African Republic Mission and Captain Vu Quang Khai will take up the position of Military Observer at the UNISFA Mission for a period of one year, from February 2024 and March 2024.
At the meeting, on behalf of the officers preparing to depart for their new assignments, Major Luc Thai Ha affirmed that he would actively learn, quickly adapt to the new working environment, promote a sense of responsibility and creativity to successfully complete assigned duties and tasks, thereby contributing to spreading the beautiful image of peace-loving Vietnamese people.
