On July 10, Mr. Dang Hoang Tuan, Director of the Long An Department of Transport, said that the project starts at the intersection with provincial road 822B at Ong Duong intersection, My Thanh Bac commune, and ends at My Quy Tay border gate, Duc Hue district. The project will be implemented in the period of 2026-2030.
Provincial Road 838 will be upgraded and expanded by 33m.
The route, 13km long, connects with inter-regional axes from My Quy Tay border gate, My Quy Tay commune, Duc Hue district (Long An) to Vo Van Kiet street, Ho Chi Minh City. Thereby, promoting regional economic development and being an important lever and driving force for the district to develop and attract investment. According to Mr. Tuan, the Department of Transport has had a working session with the People's Committee of Duc Hue district on the above policy.
At the meeting, the consulting unit proposed two investment options for provincial road 838. The first option, investing according to the planned 33m wide road, has a total investment of over 2,300 billion VND, of which the cost of site clearance is over 500 billion VND.
The second option, a 30m wide road, has a total investment of over 2,000 billion VND, of which the cost of site clearance is nearly 370 billion VND. Both options have a completed scale of 6 lanes.
With these two options, Duc Hue District People's Committee agreed with the plan according to the 33m road planning.
At the same time, Duc Hue district is responsible for site clearance, survey and selection of resettlement locations before establishing a resettlement project.
