Ready for Ha Long Tourism Week

Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the preparations for the Ha Long Carnival - the opening event for the 2024 summer tourist season.

Ha Long Carnival 2024 - the event that kicks off the summer tourist season will take place at 8:10 p.m. on April 28 at Ocean Park Beach (Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City). The program will be broadcast live on VTV1; rebroadcast on QTV1 channel of the Provincial Media Center.

In recent days, the preparation and rehearsal for the program have been urgently deployed by the units and are now ready for the event to take place. This year's Ha Long Carnival has many differences compared to previous years. This is the first time the Carnaval program has organized performances and parades on the sea, on the coast of Ha Long Bay with musical art elements, harmoniously combining history and culture to highlight the World Natural Heritage of Ha Long Bay at night. The program also has the participation of international art troupes: Laos, Thailand, Hokkaido (Japan), Guangxi (China) and a group of European artists... The performance stage is combined on the sand and on the sea, with hundreds of ships and boats participating in the performance throughout the program. More specifically, Ha Long Carnival 2024 uses modern and cutting-edge technology in the program staging, such as: Drone light (drones arranged in shape), fireworks, mapping, LED, sound, and modern lighting, leading today...

Ha Long Carnival is being carefully prepared, everything is promising a grand and attractive "party" for locals and tourists. Mr. Phan Tue Lam (Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City) said: I went to exercise on the beach and witnessed the preparations for the Carnival Festival very exciting. Although I have only seen a preliminary program, I can imagine that the upcoming festival will be very grand. I was very impressed with the performance of fishing boats with brown sails, gliding on the water, reminding me of Ha Long of the past, really impressive.

Along with the Carnival, on the occasion of April 30 - May 1, the capital city of the province also has many vibrant cultural, artistic, sports and tourism activities, such as: Beer and Squid Cake Festival, which set a record for "The biggest squid cake in Vietnam"; Lion, lion and dragon festival; Tran Quoc Nghien Temple Festival; Modern dance group festival; folk dance performance with the theme "Ha Long women shine with wonders"; Kite festival with the theme "Flying high with kites of aspiration"; health care performance program with the theme "Ha Long elderly people live happily, healthily, usefully, building a model, modern, rich, beautiful, civilized and affectionate Ha Long city".

One of the attractive programs in Ha Long Tourism Week is the Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Summer 2024 (opening on April 26 and lasting until May 1) at the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace. With a scale of over 300 booths, of which 100 booths display and introduce agricultural products, OCOP products in 13 localities of Quang Ninh; more than 90 booths display and introduce OCOP products, typical agricultural products of provinces, cities, domestic economic organizations and enterprises of provinces and cities that have friendly relations with Quang Ninh, such as: Hokkaido (Japan); Hua Phan, Luang Prabang, Xay Nha Bu Ly (Laos); Guangxi, Yunnan (China) ... The fair has been attracting a large number of people and tourists to visit and shop.

Actors focus on practicing their performances at Ha Long Carnival 2024

In order for the April 30-May 1 holiday to take place safely, the work of ensuring security, order and traffic safety is being focused on by the forces. Ha Long City Police have had plans in place to ensure security, order, traffic safety, fire prevention and rescue. In particular, to ensure security, order and traffic safety before, during and after the Ha Long Carnival, as well as during the peak time of organizing festivals on the occasion of April 30-May 1, Ha Long City People's Committee issued a notice prohibiting vehicles from circulating (except for priority vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks, etc., delegate vehicles and vehicles serving the 2024 Carnival program) on Vo Nguyen Giap Street from the roundabout with My Chau Street to the roundabout with Thuong Cang Street (Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City). The road closure will be from 5 p.m. until the end of the preliminary and final rehearsal of the Carnival (April 25-26) and from 3 p.m. until the end of the Carnival (April 28). Ha Long City also requires project owners, contractors, and construction owners to temporarily suspend construction activities and the transportation of soil, rocks, and loose materials in the city during the peak period of organizing festivals and events during the holidays, from 0:00 on April 25 to the end of May 1.

Along with that, plans for healthcare, electricity, water, food safety, goods security, civilized trade... are also being carefully implemented by units and localities, in order to best serve tourists when experiencing the holiday in Quang Ninh. Up to this point, preparations for the tourism week are ready. Hopefully, people and tourists will have a joyful, safe holiday in Quang Ninh with many good impressions.
