Saigon Co.op launches Happy Lunar New Year Trip

20 free buses will depart on January 25, bringing 900 disadvantaged workers, students, and laborers back to their hometowns to reunite with their families during the 2025 Lunar New Year.

On January 25, 2025 (December 26 of the Lunar calendar), 20 happy buses organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Commercial Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op) will officially start their journey from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, bringing 900 poor workers, students, and disadvantaged workers back to their hometowns to reunite with their families in the Central and Central Highlands provinces. This is the third year the program has been implemented.

By participating in the program, people will not only receive free bus tickets but also receive a Tet gift basket. In addition, travel expenses, meals and drinks throughout the journey will be thoughtfully covered by Saigon Co.op.

On the way, Co.opmart staff in the localities will provide additional drinks and food, helping passengers have the safest and most comfortable journey.

According to a representative of Saigon Co.op, the "happy bus trip" is one of the key programs under the Co.op Cares community activity platform, celebrating the 35th anniversary of Saigon Co.op.

"The program is not simply a bus ride to take people back to their hometowns, but also an act of spreading love, contributing to building a sustainable bond between Saigon Co.op and the community, especially during the Tet holiday," said a representative of Saigon Co.op.

This year, "Happy Bus" continues to receive support from major brands such as Unilever Vietnam, Coca-Cola Vietnam, Wilmar Marketing CLV, Nestlé Vietnam, and Kinh Do Tet brand of Mondelez Kinh Do Vietnam.

Workers, students, and employees who want to participate in the program can register for tickets in two ways: Visit the official website at https://chuyenxehanhphucsaigoncoop.vn/ or scan the QR code on the tables at the Co.opmart and Co.opXtra systems in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi.

Instructions for registering to participate in the "Happy Bus" program in 2025

1. Application documents

The file includes: Passenger contact information (phone number, address, email if available); photocopy of citizen identification card (no notarization required); documents confirming difficult family circumstances from local authorities (if available).

2. Announcement of results and award of tickets

- Registration period: Until December 31, 2024.

- Time to announce the list: January 2, 2025. The Organizing Committee will confirm with passengers who receive tickets and announce the official list on the program's information channels.

Note: Each passenger is allowed to travel with 1 child under 6 years old (sitting in the same seat), and can register 1 more relative over 6 years old (sitting in a different seat). In case there are more than 02 people in the household participating in the trip, please register for another trip.
