Joining the jubilant atmosphere of the national military enlistment day, on the morning of February 26, 2024, following the sacred call of the Fatherland, 4,096 outstanding young men of the province put on their backpacks and military uniforms and set off to join the Army and Police units.

At the Quang Xuong district stadium, comrades Do Trong Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Dao Xuan Buong, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4, together with leaders of provincial departments and branches attended the military enlistment ceremony, encouraging the outstanding young men of Quang Xuong hometown to set out to fulfill their sacred duty of protecting and building the Fatherland.
At the military handover ceremony, the leaders of Quang Xuong district lit the traditional fire and beat the drum to open the military handover festival. The sound of the drum and the traditional fire were like a message that the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province in general and Quang Xuong district in particular wanted to send their trust to the new soldiers to continue to promote the tradition of previous generations, with a passionate heart, to do their best, to study hard, to train, to strive to excellently complete all assigned tasks, to contribute their strength and youth to their homeland and country.
In a warm and solemn atmosphere, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung and Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 4 Dao Xuan Buong, together with leaders of provincial departments and branches, and leaders of Dak Doa district presented flowers to encourage young people to join the army; fulfill their civic responsibilities and promote youth in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
In Thanh Hoa City, Lam Son Square was bustling with music, flags, and colorful flowers from early morning. A large number of people were present here to attend the military handover ceremony and see off the outstanding children to join the army. In order to carry out the assigned target for 2024, the Thanh Hoa City Military Service Council has deployed the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army according to the correct procedure.
Lighting the traditional fire, beating the drum to open the military enlistment ceremony and speaking to the young men leaving for military service, Chairman of Thanh Hoa City People's Committee Tran Anh Chung expressed his hope and belief that the new recruits will strive, study, train and mature in the military environment; at the same time, wished the new recruits good health, excellently complete the task of protecting the Fatherland, worthy of the title of Uncle Ho's soldiers. At the same time, he affirmed that the city will continue to coordinate with military units to effectively manage and train new recruits to become excellent soldiers and citizens; effectively implement the military rear policy, and build a strong local armed force.

Those were the emotional greetings that the elite young men of Nghi Son town sent to their relatives who were leaving for military service. Blending in with the spring rain, the atmosphere of the military service at Nghi Son town stadium was bustling and filled with emotion. Saying goodbye to her eldest grandson who was leaving for military service with pride, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Duyen in Dinh Hai commune - grandmother of new soldier Nguyen Trong Tan, tearfully said: "I feel sorry for my parents and grandmother, after finishing high school, Tan left his hometown to work as a worker in Hanoi to earn money to help his family. The family was short of people, life was still difficult, but when he was selected for military service, she was very supportive. Because in the Army, he will have a good environment to train and strive."

In his military uniform with excitement, young Mai Xuan Dat in Hai Nhan commune excitedly shared: “Performing military service is the honor and responsibility of every citizen to the Fatherland. Therefore, after graduating from high school, I volunteered to write an application to join the army. When joining the army, I told myself to constantly train my mettle, have a steadfast and firm ideological stance, strictly abide by military discipline and constantly study to improve my qualifications, in order to meet the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation to be worthy of the trust and love of the local Party Committee, government and family”.

Youth is the spring of society.” The message that beloved Uncle Ho sent to the youth not only expressed his belief in the young generation in the cause of building the future of the country, but also affirmed the historical truth about the role of young generations in the development process of Vietnam through thousands of years of fighting to build and defend the country.
Joining the bustling atmosphere of the military enlistment day across the province, 67 young men of Muong Lat border district also enthusiastically joined the army to perform military service and the duty of the People's Public Security, protecting the Fatherland.
With the spirit of shock and volunteerism of youth, young man Lo Van Chien, a Thai ethnic in Tam Chung commune, wrote a volunteer application to join the army. Before getting on the bus to return to his unit, Chien excitedly said: “History has proven that the Vietnam People's Army is a heroic army. Since its establishment, it has always been a great epic, writing brilliant golden pages of history, feat after feat, winning independence for the nation. As a generation born and raised in peacetime, inheriting the achievements that their ancestors worked hard to build and receiving the education and training of the Party and the attention of the State, the youth of Muong Lat district today always uphold their sense of responsibility, proud to follow in the footsteps of their fathers and brothers to protect the Fatherland”.
Excitedly and emotionally seeing off the outstanding young men of Muong Lat to join the army, Chairman of the District People's Committee Nguyen Van Binh said: "Over the past years, Muong Lat district has selected hundreds of outstanding young men to study and train in military units. Among them, many comrades have become officers and professional soldiers serving long-term in the Army. At the same time, many comrades after completing their military service have returned to their hometowns to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", contributing their strength and intelligence to build Muong Lat to develop more and more. I believe that the young men leaving for the army today will continue to write more glorious and heroic pages of history for their homeland and country."
From early morning, following the dense crowd leading to Nga Son District Stadium, young man Mai The Thang, born in 1999 in Nga Thai commune, quickly gathered at the formation of Regiment 48, Division 390, Army Corps 12, where he was received. His heart was still filled with regret and many thoughts as he was about to say goodbye to his relatives and friends to fulfill his duty to the Fatherland, but Thang's eyes were still steadfast and filled with hope.
Thang Tam said: “There is no place for young people to learn discipline, demonstrate courage and strong will than the military environment. Therefore, my goal is to complete my tasks well in this environment by studying proactively and practicing actively. At the same time, I contribute my small efforts to protect and build a beautiful homeland.”
Mai The Thang is one of the outstanding young men in the 2024 military recruitment of Nga Son district. Thang volunteered to join the army after graduating from the University of Architecture and working in Hanoi with a salary of 10 million VND/month. In the future, Thang's knowledge and dreams will be written by the steadfastness and loyalty from the days of training in the military environment. And the will and determination of today will be the luggage to help new soldier Mai The Thang overcome all difficulties and challenges to fulfill his sacred duty to the Fatherland.
