Near Tet, the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon highway construction site is still bustling with the sounds of excavators and drills.
The 88km Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway passes through the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh with a total investment of VND 20,400 billion. After more than 2 years of construction, the project has basically taken shape with a corresponding volume of VND 7,200/13,343 billion in construction and installation capital. The disbursement of capital allocated in 2024 reached 107% of the assigned capital plan.
In the days leading up to Tet, the construction site of a key national project is still filled with the rumbling of rollers and excavators working 24/7. The construction atmosphere is urgent even though outside Tet is "knocking on the door" of every house.
The embankment work on the entire route has reached over 95%. This item has been severely affected by stormy weather in the past 3 months. In recent days, taking advantage of the clear weather, the contractor has accelerated construction to ensure the project is completed ahead of the schedule assigned by the Government and Prime Minister.
Each batch of aggregate is closely graded and monitored to ensure the highest quality of construction.
The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway is an important link between the expressway projects in operation and the projects under construction. According to the plan, by the end of 2025, the entire North - South expressway in the East will be completed.
On the 88km route, there are 3 tunnels through the mountains. With the efforts of the investor and contractor, the construction of tunnels No. 1 and No. 2 with a length of 1,300m has been basically completed, ahead of schedule compared to the signed contract.
Tunnel No. 3 alone has a length of 6,400m for both tubes, Deo Ca contractor has dug nearly 5,000m and is ready to open the tunnel in 3 months.
Tunnel construction work with many construction teams deployed synchronously. This is also a priority item for the progress of the whole project, so construction work takes place 24/24 and throughout Tet.
These days, the project site is still bustling with the sounds of mechanical equipment and construction. Vehicles are bustling in and out of the tunnel 3 construction site.
With the remaining construction output, Deo Ca Group and the consortium of contractors are accelerating construction in 3 shifts and 4 teams to bring the project to the finish line, connecting the "traffic arteries" by the end of 2025.
