At the meeting, representatives of the departments, agencies and branches reported on the progress of preparations for organizing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. With the theme: The Great Victory of Spring 1975 - the strength of great national unity, the desire for peace, national independence and the will to unify the country, the activities will be carried out synchronously and uniformly through many forms.

The highlight is the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day with the participation of nearly 350 delegates; a program to honor and exchange with those who participated in the resistance war; a summary of 50 years of Vietnamese literature and art after the country's reunification day; the first Dong Nai Province Hot Air Balloon and Pottery Festival; organizing low-altitude and high-altitude fireworks displays; coordinating participation in the parade and march to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day...

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to review activities, art programs, and hot air balloon flights; and carefully prepare speeches by provincial leaders and youths.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that Bien Hoa city must prepare well for the fireworks display and the formation performance to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; units and localities must closely coordinate to ensure security, order and safety at the celebration as well as during the fireworks display.

For the organization of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, there must be a specific assignment of tasks to each unit and locality, along with responsibility for each part of the work. It is necessary to record a specific schedule and content so that the activities do not overlap and are carried out in accordance with regulations... The activities aim to affirm the greatness of the historic victory of April 30, 1975; educate the tradition of patriotism, revolutionary tradition and encourage and motivate all classes of people to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws.
