On behalf of the Academy's leadership, Professor - Doctor Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council congratulated those working in journalism in general, and those working in journalism in the Academy system in particular, on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized that over the past 99 years, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has continuously developed and matured, making great contributions to the cause of building, developing and defending the country. In that honor and pride, there is the pride of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, which has trained and fostered political theory for tens of thousands of cadres, reporters and editors of the revolutionary press, to become steadfast in ideology, steadfast in stance, and pure in ethics. The Academy of Journalism and Communication, a key national university training in Journalism and Communication for the whole country, has also made important contributions to the development of the revolutionary press.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, in recent years, the press system of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics has had many positive innovations, gradually affirming its position in the national press system. Some journals have made efforts to diversify their publishing forms, build electronic journals, publish special issues... Most journals have been scored by the State Council of Professors and have had their scientific articles scored. The publishing work has been focused on and rectified to ensure efficiency.
The press agencies have strictly implemented the principles, purposes, functions and tasks, successfully completed the assigned tasks, contributed to the implementation of the political tasks of the Academy; effectively served the work of training and fostering cadres, scientific research, ideological and theoretical work of the Party, information and propaganda of the Party's viewpoints and guidelines and the State's policies and laws; actively participated in summarizing practices, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints...

Towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day in 2025, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang suggested that the Academy Journalists Association proactively develop plans and organize activities suitable to the characteristics of the Academy's journalism, while focusing on participating in activities of the industry, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, participating in national and sectoral press awards, especially awards and movements launched by the Vietnam Journalists Association.
On this occasion, the Journal of Political Theory - the scientific mouthpiece of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, launched a new interface of the electronic journal (https://lyluanchinhtri.vn/), marking a new development step of the Journal in its journey to contribute to improving the quality of research and conveying political theory knowledge to a large number of cadres, party members and people.
