To prepare for this, from 3am to 6am on May 22, Mong Cai City Electricity cut off the power to connect the 110kV Mong Cai - Dong Hung line.

According to calculations by the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), the North is at risk of lacking 1,600-4,900 MW of electricity in May and June.
