On the afternoon of September 14, according to information from the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch 4770/UBND-NC on the teacher recruitment plan for 2024. Accordingly, the province will organize the recruitment of 743 teachers for all levels under the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province and the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns.
Recruitment targets are as follows: 138 preschool teachers, 347 elementary school teachers, 150 middle school teachers and 108 high school teachers.
For districts, towns and cities, teachers will be recruited in 2 rounds: Round 1 checks the recruitment conditions, if they meet the requirements, they will enter round 2 with a written test related to their profession and major.
As for high school teachers and educational institutions under the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province, the director of this department will decide to implement decentralization according to regulations.
Quang Ngai province recruits 347 primary school teachers in 2024
In this recruitment round, Quang Ngai province directed the Department of Education and Training and the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to prioritize recruitment according to the attraction policy in Decree No. 140/2017/ND-CP dated December 5, 2017 of the Government. If the recruitment according to this attraction policy is not successful, teachers will be recruited according to Decree No. 115/2020/ND-CP dated September 25, 2020 and Decree No. 85/2023/ND-CP dated December 7, 2023 of the Government.
According to the plan, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province and the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities will announce and receive registration forms according to the attraction policy of Decree No. 140/2017/ND-CP from September 17 to October 17. The recruitment results will be sent to the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Ngai province on October 18 to carry out the recruitment of teachers.
With the teacher recruitment form according to Decree No. 115/2020/ND-CP dated September 25, 2020 and Decree No. 85/2023/ND-CP dated December 7, 2023, recruitment will begin from October 19 to November 19. The written exam for professional and specialized subjects will take place on December 7 and the recruitment results will be available before the start of the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year.
Candidates for teacher recruitment must have a bachelor's degree in pedagogy for high school, middle school, and primary school; a college degree in pedagogy or higher for preschool.
The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has directed the provincial Department of Education and Training to be responsible for creating test questions and answers for written exams on specialized professional subjects for teacher recruitment for the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities. In addition, Quang Ngai province allows mountainous districts to recruit teachers from ethnic minorities in the area, not exceeding 40% of the recruitment quota.
Previously, Thanh Nien Newspaper reported that in the 2024-2025 school year, Quang Ngai province continues to face a shortage of teachers at all levels. This situation has lasted for many years, although the province tries to organize annual recruitment exams, due to many reasons, the number of teachers admitted is still not enough to meet the target.
