Quang Ngai province requires relevant entities to focus on removing obstacles, speeding up construction progress, and completing key projects with investment capital of thousands of billions to ensure disbursement plans.
Many projects accelerate to the finish line
According to the Tra Khuc 3 bridge project, right after the Lunar New Year holiday, the contractors focused on the construction of the project. Construction teams were deployed simultaneously to complete the remaining items of the project such as filling the northern bridge abutment and constructing the southern approach road through Tu Nghia district.
Tra Khuc 3 Bridge is being accelerated to be completed in the second quarter of 2025.

It is known that Tra Khuc 3 Bridge has an investment capital of 850 billion VND. This is the first iron arch bridge to be constructed in Quang Ngai.
The biggest difficulty of the project is the land acquisition problem in the section passing through Son Tinh district. According to the Son Tinh district government, the locality has planned to enforce land acquisition, ensuring the handover of a clean site so that the contractor can complete the project.
Director of Quang Ngai Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board Ngo Van Dung said that after more than 2 years of construction, the construction value of the entire project reached over 90% of output, disbursement of about 640 billion VND.
"For the remaining volume, if the site is clear, we will urge workers to work overtime to complete the project in the second quarter of 2025," said Mr. Dung.
At the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road project, with an investment capital of nearly 2,100 billion VND, the construction work after Tet has also been accelerated by contractors. The difficulties related to compensation and site clearance are being resolved by relevant localities. Thereby, the construction sites of the items have been expanded, and contractors have been actively constructing.
The contractor mobilized maximum mechanical equipment to speed up the construction of the Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road.
The major problem with the project is that some sections overlap with the mineral mine planning approved by the Prime Minister. Therefore, to ensure construction site, Quang Ngai proposed that the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment remove an area of more than 19 hectares from the mineral mine planning to serve as a basis for completing the project section.
A representative of the Quang Ngai Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the unit is actively coordinating with relevant localities and departments to remove obstacles in site clearance and clear bottlenecks to ensure the completion of the project in 2025.
Provincial leaders "impatient" with a series of delayed key projects
Quang Ngai province has key projects under the supervision and direction of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee's Steering Committee such as: Hoang Sa - Doc Soi road project; the entire Dung Quat - Sa Huynh coastal road; Bridge and road connecting from the center of Son Tinh district to Tu Nghia district (Tra Khuc 3 bridge); road connecting from Thach Bich bridge to Tinh Phong; dam downstream of Tra Khuc river; Project of embankment to prevent landslides and create land fund on the northern bank of Tra Khuc river, section through Tinh An commune and Tinh Long commune... with a total investment capital of about 7,000 billion VND.
Land acquisition problems hinder the progress of many key projects in Quang Ngai.
According to the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board, in recent times, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have regularly focused on leadership and direction; relevant localities, departments and branches have also been resolute and responsible in implementing key and important projects.
However, up to this point, most projects have been implemented slower than planned. One of the reasons is that the province has not yet issued a land use plan; the work of determining land prices, making plans for compensation, site clearance, and resettlement has encountered many difficulties and obstacles.
At the working session on February 10 with the subjects related to the key project group to discuss solutions to promote construction progress, Deputy Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee Dang Ngoc Huy said that the progress of the projects is slow in both construction and disbursement.
Therefore, to speed up the progress, it is necessary to remove obstacles. In particular, localities need to base on the provincial planning to complete procedures and land use planning documents to send to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for appraisal; the People's Committee will submit to the People's Council for promulgation. Localities need to determine the price of residential land and agricultural land to be at least equal to the provincial level and complete the determination of land prices in February 2025.
According to Mr. Dang Ngoc Huy, on February 5, the Government issued Resolution No. 25 on growth targets, requiring industries, fields and localities to ensure the overall growth rate for the whole country.
Standing Deputy Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee Dang Ngoc Huy requested relevant entities to focus on removing obstacles and speeding up the progress of key projects.
To realize this goal, one of the key tasks is to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital. In which, the implementation of key national and provincial projects plays an important role.
"Request the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Provincial People's Committee Office to coordinate in assigning progress in completing the land use plan, determining the price of residential land and agricultural land of each locality and unit. From there, issue a specific plan, unify in deployment and implementation," Mr. Huy directed.
