The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee assessed that in recent times, the results of developing party members among students have been increasing, in 2023 it increased nearly 2 times compared to the previous year and in 2024 it increased more than 5 times compared to 2023.

The most obvious change is that this year, 18/18 district, town and city Party Committees have successfully recruited party members among students (in 2023, only 11/18 localities).

From 2020 to July 1, 2024, the whole province admitted 361 students to the Party (320 students; 41 university students), accounting for 4.6% of the total number of newly developed Party members during this period; there were no cases of expulsion from the Party or removal of names of Party members who were students.

At this stage, the Standing Committee of the Thang Binh District Party Committee said that the whole district had admitted more than 29 student party members. Of which, in the first 6 months of 2024 alone, the whole district admitted 21 high school students into the Party.

Mr. Le Quang Hat - Standing Deputy Secretary of Thang Binh District Party Committee shared that recently, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has regularly directed Party committees of high schools to pay special attention to creating sources and recruiting party members who are excellent students with good achievements in studying as well as in school youth movements and activities, considering them as "red seeds" in the work of developing party members of the district.

Always considered a bright spot of the province in the work of developing party members who are students, according to the Organizing Committee of Phu Ninh District Party Committee, from the beginning of the 2020 - 2025 term up to now, the district has admitted 59 party members who are 12th grade students.

Ms. Vo Thi Thu Thuy - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of Phu Ninh District Party Committee said that during the 11th grade school year, the Party Committees and grassroots Party cells of high schools will review qualified students to develop a plan to monitor, assist, and detect positive factors.

From there, introduce and send them to attend Party awareness training classes in the 11th grade or the first semester of the 12th grade every year and assign official party members in the party cell to monitor and help them consider admitting them to the Party.

“The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee agrees on the policy of admitting students into the Party who meet the conditions and standards of the Party Charter, Regulations and instructions for implementing the Party Charter, have a clear background, and actively participate in the activities and movements of the school's youth union.

"They are union officials and class leaders with good moral qualities and conduct, with academic results for 3 consecutive years (grades 10-12) ranked as good or higher, and those who have achieved achievements in provincial-level excellent student exams or higher," said Ms. Thuy.

Focus on recruiting party members

According to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, admitting high school students to the Party will contribute to creating role models that can motivate and encourage the school's youth union movement, creating a wide spread in high schools; helping to improve the school's comprehensive education work.

Being admitted to the Party is for young Party members to continue to train and strive in a more serious environment. Any Party Committee or Party cell that is truly thorough, sets specific targets and plans to create resources will develop Party members.

To achieve the results of developing party members who are students, schools must raise awareness among students right from the first years of high school; focus on creating resources for outstanding students in the school's emulation movements and students with outstanding achievements in studying.

At the same time, it is necessary to maintain close contact and create high unity with parents right from the time of clearly identifying the source of party member development as students.

Resolution No. 21 dated June 16, 2022 of the Central Executive Committee (13th tenure) continued to affirm that the work of developing Party members is an important task in Party building.

Thereby contributing to increasing the Party's vitality, improving the Party's leadership capacity and fighting strength. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee stated that Party committees and organizations at all levels need to pay special attention to and focus on recruiting Party members in schools, because this is a place with a fairly abundant source of young people with good quality and prospects. And proposed 7 groups of tasks and solutions for implementation in Notice 590 dated August 17, 2023.

Alternate member of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that Party committees and organizations at all levels continue to pay attention to improving the quality of training and admission work to the Party.

Along with raising awareness, it is necessary to pay attention to developing party members among teachers and workers in schools to set good examples for students to follow, creating motivation for students to strive to join the Party.

Research and develop a training program framework for Party admission and new Party member training for students in the direction of combining theory and practice, creating appeal, interest and attraction in lectures.

With the spirit of reducing content, focusing on basic issues about the Party, standards, conditions for admission, duties and powers of Party members, things Party members are not allowed to do, especially determining the right motives of those applying to join the Party...
