Quang Nam will organize Quang Noodle Festival

(CLO) Quang Nam province has just agreed on the policy of organizing Quang Noodle Festival in 2025 to increase tourist attraction.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize the event "Quang Nam Culture, Sports and Tourism Week".

It requires attention to researching and preparing specific content for new and creative tourism activities and products to ensure effectiveness and attract more tourists to Quang Nam.

Regarding the Quang Noodle Festival - National Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Quang Nam Culinary Culture Association to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant agencies, units and localities to develop a specific plan and mobilize socialization for implementation.

Previously, on August 9, 2024, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung signed a decision to include Quang noodles (Quang Nam province) in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage, a type of folk knowledge.

Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee affirmed that Quang noodles are different from other types of noodles. The cooking process is also carefully done, using local peanut oil, shallots, and traditional turmeric powder to create a unique flavor. Quang noodles are the unique identity and creativity of the people of Quang.

Quang noodles is a dish with many variations, highlighting the characteristics of folk culinary culture. This is a rustic dish but contains the historical process of forming the folk knowledge system of Quang Nam land.

In July 2024, the world-famous culinary website Taste Atlas put Quang noodles at the top of the list of 100 most delicious dishes in Vietnam.
