At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the career and revolutionary life of the two Heroes of the People's Armed Forces. Accordingly, Major General Tran The Mon, born on April 1, 1915, was from Nhan Dao commune (now Tran Hung Dao commune), Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province.

He joined the revolutionary movement in 1936. During the resistance war against the US to save the country, he fought for nearly 7 years on the Central Highlands battlefield, and was assigned the important responsibility of Party Secretary - Political Commissar of the Central Highlands Front (B3). He himself participated in leading and commanding many major campaigns such as: Dak To 1, Mau Than 1968, Spring-Summer 1972...

In recognition of his outstanding achievements in the resistance war against the US to save the country, on January 23, 2025, the President signed a decision to posthumously award the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to Major General Tran The Mon.

Major General Hoang The Thien, born on October 20, 1922, is from Le Xa village, Tien Son commune, Duy Tien district, Ha Nam province. He joined the revolutionary movement in 1940. During the resistance war against the US to save the country, he fought on the battlefields: Central Highlands, Southern Laos, Southern Vietnam; typical campaigns are: Dak To 1, Route 9 Southern Laos. He once held the position of Political Commissar of Truong Son Command, Political Commissar of Army Corps 4...

With his outstanding achievements in the resistance war against the US to save the country, on January 23, 2025, the President signed a decision to posthumously award the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" to Major General Hoang The Thien.

At the ceremony, relatives of the two Major Generals presented the 34th Corps with many valuable souvenirs and documents such as books, newspapers, photos, medals and orders of the two generals during their combat and work in the Central Highlands. These are invaluable assets, closely linked to the process of building, fighting and growing up of the 34th Corps and the working lives of the two generals. These artifacts will serve well in the work of educating the traditions of the current and future officers and soldiers of the 34th Corps.
