The '16 golden words' motto of the young pilot captain

On the evening of March 23, at Vietnam Television, the Central Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund held the 2024 Outstanding Young Faces Award Ceremony. Before the ceremony, many outstanding young faces shared with Tien Phong about their feelings and the keywords that made them achieve outstanding achievements in their fields.

Captain Nguyen Hoang Hai Quang: Following the example of legendary hero pilot Nguyen Van Bay

I am very happy and proud to represent the pilot force in particular and the Air Defense - Air Force soldiers in general, when being honored as the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face of 2024. Meeting and interacting with outstanding faces in many different fields of the country, helps me have more motivation and inspiration to continuously learn, create and contribute to the army and the country.

To talk about my journey of striving and achieving recent achievements, I will use two words: Effort and courage.

However, the most important keywords that the Air Defense - Air Force soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army and I always keep in mind are the "16 golden words" that Uncle Ho instructed: "Unlimited loyalty - Resolute attack - Solidarity and coordination - Collective achievements". This is also the motto of life and the motto of striving that I follow.

In my own journey of striving, one of the examples I follow is the Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Colonel pilot Nguyen Van Bay, with his ingenuity, courage and dedication, not afraid of danger to protect the Fatherland's skies.

Golden boy Than The Cong: Overcoming self-doubt

I was very nervous and excited when I entered such a big studio surrounded by so many talented faces. But mixed with that feeling was an overwhelming joy, an indescribable joy when I was honored as the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face of 2024.

This is a great opportunity for me to meet people who are more excellent than me, especially in the same field of study - people I always admire and want to learn from. They inspire me to continue trying, to constantly improve myself.

Than The Cong is the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face of 2024.

Best Friend The Cong (born in 2006) while a student at Bac Giang High School for the Gifted won the Gold Medal at the 2024 Asian and International Physics Olympiad and was honored to be awarded the Second Class Labor Medal. Cong also won the First Prize in the National Excellent Student Competition in 2024 and 2023; Gold Medal in the Physics Excellent Student Competition of Specialized High Schools in the Coastal and Northern Delta Regions in 2023.

If I had to choose three words to describe my journey to this title, I would say: Effort, luck, and perseverance. But of those three words, I believe perseverance is the most important factor. There were many times when I felt tired, even doubted myself, but I never gave up. I believe that as long as I keep going, there will still be opportunities.

I am pursuing electrical engineering, and in the future, I want to become a semiconductor chip design engineer - a high-tech field that is in great need of quality human resources in Vietnam. I hope I can contribute a small part to the journey of bringing the country closer to the advances of world technology.

Nguyen Huu Tien Hung: Connecting hearts with the same ideals

I feel truly happy and honored to be part of a space that brings together talented, enthusiastic and outstanding young faces.

Being able to talk and share with people from many different fields but all carrying within them a spirit of dedication and constant effort - is an extremely valuable experience for me.

This is also an opportunity to connect hearts with the same ideals. When listening to the stories of other young faces, I feel more energized, feeling that I am not alone on the path I have chosen.

We all have one thing in common: Passion, ideals, and a desire to contribute something meaningful to society.

Nguyen Huu Tien Hung is the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face of 2024

Nguyen Huu Tien Hung (born 2006), is currently a student at Hanoi Medical University. In 2024, the student of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted won the Gold Medal at the 2024 International Chemistry Olympiad and was honored to receive the Second Class Labor Medal from the President in 2024.

I believe that when you have passion, the most important thing is perseverance. There are times when you are tired, sometimes you fail, but it is the belief in the path you are taking and the perseverance to pursue it to the end that has helped me achieve today. For me, no result comes "naturally", everything is a journey accumulated from days of hard work that no one sees.

The title of Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face is a milestone, a reminder of responsibility. I know I need to try harder, not only in studying but also in scientific research, finding practical solutions to contribute to the development of the country.

And I believe that journey will require a lot of effort, today, I have more confidence to continue.
