On June 17, Phung Ngoc Huy shared that he will return to Vietnam in August. The male singer is looking forward to the day he can return to visit his homeland and daughter Lavie after many years apart.
According to singer Dan Kim, Phung Ngoc Huy's close friend, he completed the procedures to become an American citizen in June . "Ngoc Huy and his father are about to reunite. After many years of ups and downs, God finally has mercy on them," she shared.
Phung Ngoc Huy came to the US in 2015. During his years in the land of the free, he mainly sold goods online and occasionally sang when invited.
Phung Ngoc Huy returned to Vietnam in August to reunite with his daughter.
The male singer sold nearly 200 snacks. He confided that the first time he sold goods, he felt shy. After that, the male singer found it an interesting job because he could sell goods and sing to the audience at the same time.
The male singer said that his singing career is not going well at the moment. However, he still feels lucky to have a stable income, which helps him cover his living expenses and take care of his family.
"Working hard makes me appreciate life more. When I came here, I no longer thought of myself as an artist. I just knew how to try and grow up," Phung Ngoc Huy said.
The male singer confided that his biggest goal is to bring his daughter Lavie to America. He wants to earn money to give her a stable life. Phung Ngoc Huy confided: "Lavie is currently being taken care of very well by two nannies. I dream of returning to Vietnam to bring my daughter over. I also like taking her to school. Even though it's hard, I don't mind."
Phung Ngoc Huy was born in 1985, is an actor and singer. He and the late actress Mai Phuong have a daughter together, Lavie. After Mai Phuong passed away, Phung Ngoc Huy's daughter lives in Ho Chi Minh City, being cared for by two nannies.
"Huy will do everything possible so that father and son can be together, to give the baby the best life and future within his ability," he said.
