Responding to Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters, Mr. Duong Van Thu, Principal of Nguyen Thi Dieu High School, said that the school has no policy to establish a class fund or a school fund, but only mobilizes sponsorship according to Circular 55/2011/TT-BGDDT. And the plan to mobilize sponsorship for the 2024-2025 school year has been commented on, adjusted by the Financial Planning Department and approved by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

Accordingly, Nguyen Thi Dieu High School plans to mobilize sponsorship (in the form of money or in kind) for the 2024-2025 school year with a value of 470,000,000 VND for the following implementation contents: Sponsoring facilities and equipment for students' learning (supporting the equipment of 10 air conditioners for 10 classes without air conditioners); Sponsoring educational activities for students (Supporting and encouraging students in learning activities, city-level excellent student competitions, scientific research, cultural and artistic activities, caring for and supporting poor students...).

Mr. Thu said that as of September 15, the school had raised 151,050,000 VND.

In addition, when answering reporters, Principal of Nguyen Thi Dieu High School said that after the parent-teacher meeting at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year on September 15 and in the plan to implement the fundraising campaign, it was clearly informed that the school does not keep the operating budget of the school and class parent-teacher representative committee and strictly implements Circular 55 of the Ministry according to the principle of voluntariness, no coercion. However, after receiving feedback from parents, the school continues to thoroughly request homeroom teachers to pay attention to giving comments and discussing so that parents can comply with the regulations, and not force parents to contribute funds...

Also in response to parents' feedback on school and class funds, Principal of Nguyen Thi Dieu High School said: "On September 29, there will be a meeting of the school-level parent representative board. I will directly attend the meeting with the principal board. We will continue to review and direct the implementation of the Department of Education and Training's instructions."

Deploying a series of inspections and checks on management and revenue and expenditure at the beginning of the school year

The Department of Education and Training has instructed the Department of Education and Training to inspect and examine the school year for schools on contents such as programs, projects, bidding packages, textbook selection, non-budgetary revenues, etc. Accordingly, from September, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City will carry out a series of inspections and examinations of the management and revenue and expenditure at the beginning of the school year at the Department of Education and Training, kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools under the Department of Education and Training, and high schools and educational institutions under the Department of Education and Training.
