Identifying the people as the core in the movement "All people protect national security", My Thanh commune has done a good job of propaganda and mobilizing cadres and people to participate in preventing and combating crimes and social evils, contributing to building a solid people's security posture, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development.
My Thanh is a mountainous commune of Ham Thuan Nam district, 46km from the district center, with 283 households/981 people. Due to the characteristics of the population being mainly ethnic minorities, economic life is still difficult. To maintain a safe and stable area, the commune government has focused on promoting socio-economic development closely associated with the movement of All people protecting national security. In particular, focusing on propaganda, resolutions, directives, and plans on building the movement, focusing on mobilizing people to proactively participate in preventing and combating all types of crimes and social evils.
Accordingly, the commune regularly held meetings of the Movement Steering Committee, assigning tasks to each member in the process of implementing the task of ensuring security and order for the people. Along with that, the people held meetings to directly and indirectly propagate on loudspeakers about legal documents and regulations, including traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, weapons, explosives, the harmful effects of drugs, etc.
In addition, it is necessary to integrate into meetings and mobilize cadres and people to raise their awareness of vigilance and fight against "peaceful evolution" by hostile forces, in conjunction with preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" within the Party. Synchronously and drastically deploy measures to ensure political security and social order and safety in the area; regularly send police, military and border guards to the area to monitor and grasp developments and ideological situations of cadres, party members and people; promptly orient ideology and public opinion, resolutely not allowing sudden and unexpected situations to occur; At the same time, continue to propagate and mobilize people to actively participate in implementing the new rural construction program in conjunction with the movements of the entire people participating in protecting national security, building cultural life in residential areas... to create synchronization and cohesion, thereby maximizing the effectiveness of the movements.
The commune has also directed the police force to coordinate with the commune military to develop and deploy a campaign to collect and hand over weapons and explosives. Effectively implement the Government's resolutions on coordination between the police, military, and forest rangers in forest management and protection; protect national security, ensure social order and safety, fight against crime and national defense tasks in the commune. Thanks to that, the political security situation, social order and safety in the area are always guaranteed, national defense and security are maintained. Since the beginning of the year, there have been no social evils, 1 homemade gun has been recovered, 1 traffic collision has occurred.
