Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan works with Bac Tra My district

On the afternoon of April 1, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan chaired a working session with Bac Tra My district to listen to a report on the implementation of the National Target Programs (NTPs). Also attending were representatives of relevant departments, agencies and sectors.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Bac Tra My district, in 2025, the total planned investment capital allocated by the Provincial People's Committee to the district is more than 88.7 billion VND. Up to now, the district has allocated more than 70 billion VND for approved projects and transitional projects with payment needs, reaching 79%. The total planned allocated career capital is more than 3.3 billion VND, of which the district has allocated more than 2.9 billion VND, reaching 86.5%.

Regarding the transferred capital, as of January 31, 2025, the district has disbursed more than 298/510 billion VND, reaching a rate of 59%. The remaining undisbursed capital has completed the transfer procedure to 2025 for continued implementation, with a total cost of more than 208 billion VND. Currently, investors are speeding up the implementation of works and projects to ensure disbursement according to regulations.

Regarding the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the district has so far completed 725/1,195 houses, reaching a rate of 60.67%. The remaining number will be implemented in the final phase of the 2021-2025 plan. Thus, basically, the district no longer has households living in temporary and dilapidated houses. Infrastructure continues to be invested synchronously according to the new rural criteria, in which priority is given to essential works such as transportation, schools, irrigation, domestic water, etc. to serve people's lives and develop production.

The goal of increasing people's income is also guaranteed. If in 2021, the average income per capita only reached 23,714 million VND/year, by the end of 2024 it had increased to 35,208 million VND/year. The level of access to basic social services such as employment, health care, education, housing, water and sanitation, information, etc. is also improved.

At the meeting, Bac Tra My district proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider and agree on the policy of temporarily suspending the submission of dossiers to recognize communes meeting new rural standards in 2025. This is to help localities focus on implementing urgent tasks such as supporting people's income increase, ensuring social security, and at the same time speeding up the implementation and disbursement of capital sources under the three National Target Programs. Continue to invest in infrastructure projects in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, in order to promote socio-economic development in these areas.
