They are Tran Nguyen Bao Ngoc (50 kg), age group 15-16 female; Vo Huy Hoang (46 kg) age group 17-18 from Gia Lai. Or the Tay Ninh delegation also introduced boxer Nguyen Vo Dang Khoa (54 kg) age group 15-16.

"Although they are still young, when competing, they have shown clear progress in technique, from punching to kicking, their physical foundation is also quite good and proves that the teams have prepared carefully for the tournament. These will be the talents targeted for the national teams in the coming time," said Mr. Dam Cong Dien.

The good news is that through this tournament, all delegations have shown progress: the technical level of the athletes has been significantly improved. The tournament has also completed the goal of reviewing the kickboxing development movement in the southern provinces and continuing to promote the development of this movement. This is also a strong area for kickboxing in the country when all provinces have developed the movement.

Although it was the first time the tournament was held, it attracted 218 athletes from 22 delegations. Through the tournament, experts also evaluated the units that have done well and systematically in developing the kickboxing movement as Tay Ninh, Hau Giang, Gia Lai, An Giang and the Army.

The matches of the tournament were exciting and dramatic. From this tournament, the units will also have good preparation when entering the national youth kickboxing championship held in Binh Dinh, next July.

Head coach of Tay Ninh kickboxing team Tran Thi Tuyet Nhung said that with the rapid development of the kickboxing movement in the southern provinces, Tay Ninh has also established a team and started the selection and training process from September 2023. Currently, the team has 20 children aged 12-16. "During the training process, the athletes were very disciplined and performed a large amount of exercises at high intensity. I was also quite surprised because the athletes showed quite a lot of courage and exceeded the coach's expectations. Through this tournament, the male athletes of the team demonstrated their courage, will, and resilience in not giving up when being fouled by their opponents.

The three "golden" boys of Tay Ninh are Ho Dien Dat (50 kg) aged 15-16. This athlete has a calm fighting style and good defense. Besides, there is also Le Hoai Nam (52 ​​kg) who is almost the eldest brother of the team. Normally, Nam is very gentle and emotional, but when he gets on the stage, he has a fast and fast fighting style.

Many outstanding young athletes unexpectedly appeared at the tournament

Another excellent athlete is Nguyen Vo Dang Khoa (54 kg). This athlete has a very high will in training and competing, is quite intelligent, very cunning and is a comedian who brings laughter to the team. The other athletes in the team also showed their abilities. Through this tournament, the athlete and I will correct our shortcomings to better prepare for the national youth championship in July in Binh Dinh", commented coach Tran Thi Tuyet Nhung.

The specific results of this tournament are as follows: overall ranking in the 13-14 year old male age group, the overall ranking is Hau Giang (2 gold medals, 3 silver medals); second is Dong Nai (2 gold medals, 1 silver medal); third is Binh Phuoc (1 gold medal, 2 silver medals).

In the 15-16 male age group, the Tay Ninh team won the most (3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 2 bronze medals); followed by the Army team (2 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 2 bronze medals), and Hau Giang (2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 4 bronze medals).

In the 17-18 year old male group, the first, second and third positions of the whole delegation are as follows: Army (2 gold medals), An Giang (1 gold medal, 1 silver medal), Ben Tre (1 gold medal, 1 silver medal). In the 13-14 year old female group, the leading positions include: Ho Chi Minh City (2 gold medals, 2 silver medals); Tay Ninh (2 gold medals, 1 silver medal); Can Tho (2 gold medals, 1 bronze medal).

In the 15-16 age group, the An Giang delegation led the way (2 gold medals); the Army (1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, 4 bronze medals); Hau Giang (1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal).
