On March 22, Dak Lak Provincial Police said they are coordinating with relevant units to verify, clarify, and strictly handle subjects who illegally organize sand mining on the Krong Ana River (Krong Bong District).

Initial information, after a period of reconnaissance, on March 18-19, the Economic Police Department - Dak Lak Provincial Police mobilized forces to simultaneously inspect along the banks of the Krong Ana River (through the communes of Cu Kty, Khue Ngoc Dien, Krong Bong district).

Through that, the police discovered 8 illegal sand mining sites along with many related exhibits and vehicles.

Police determined that these 8 locations were all organized by individuals in Krong Bong district, without being granted operating licenses by competent state agencies. The total volume of illegally exploited sand at the scene was about 600m3.

The case is currently being verified and clarified by Dak Lak Provincial Police.
