On the afternoon of April 24, Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee held a conference to launch the 2023 Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Building Press Award, celebrating the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023), and the 137th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2023).

Reporting at the Conference, Comrade Bui Huy Vinh, Head of the Propaganda Department of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, said: On April 12, 2023, the Standing Committee of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee issued Plan No. 140-KH/TU "Organizing the Press Award on Party building in Vinh Phuc province in 2023" to continue improving the quality and effectiveness of information and propaganda work on Party building and the political system of Vinh Phuc province; meeting the requirements of the task of building and rectifying the Party and the political system to be increasingly clean and strong. At the same time, encourage and motivate the team of reporters, journalists and a large number of cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life to promote their roles and responsibilities in participating in Party building and building the political system through creating press works.

“This is the first time after 7 years of responding to the National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award), Vinh Phuc province has developed its own award, and through this, the province will select quality press works to submit to participate in the 8th National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in 2023” – Comrade Bui Huy Vinh informed.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee emphasized: 2023 is a pivotal year in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 17th Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of Party Congresses at all levels, with many key requirements and tasks such as: Continuing to build a comprehensive Party in terms of politics, ideology and ethics; strengthening the close relationship between the Party and the People, truly relying on the People to build the Party; stepping up the fight against corruption and negativity... Raising the determination to build and rectify the Party and the political system to be clean and strong; resolutely fighting, preventing, repelling and strictly handling degradation, negativity, "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.

To effectively and successfully carry out the above political tasks, the entire political system and the entire people need to be resolutely involved. To create a great consensus, the press will be an active and timely bridge to inform the Party's policies and guidelines, reflect the people's legitimate thoughts and aspirations to the Party, and at the same time be a place to convey good practices, good examples that need to be commended and replicated, and limitations that need to be overcome in Party building work.

“After launching, Vinh Phuc will create the most favorable conditions and environment for cadres, party members, reporters, journalists, collaborators, professional and non-professional writers to work in order to promptly reflect new models, good practices, creativity and efficiency in Party building, the government system as well as emerging issues; pay attention to and direct the resolution of issues in Party building and rectification work of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee and at local Party committees and organizations” – Secretary Hoang Thi Thuy Lan added.

  Subjects, time, and award structure of the 2023 Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Building Journalism Award:

Participants are all Vietnamese citizens whose press works promoting and reflecting on the Party building work of Vinh Phuc province are published and broadcast on all types of press.

Works participating in the award are journalistic works of all types of journalism (print, electronic, radio, television) published and broadcast on press types licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Implementation content: The award is selected and awarded to authors and groups of authors with excellent journalistic works on Party building work in the following aspects: Politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres; in the fields of propaganda, organization, inspection, mass mobilization, internal affairs, foreign affairs, prevention and combat of corruption, waste, negativity and building the political system from the province to the grassroots of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, which is specified in 10 key contents (detailed content in Plan No. 140-KH/TU, dated April 12, 2023 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee).

The time for submission is for works that have a posting and broadcasting time from November 1, 2022 to October 1, 2023. The time for receiving entries is from the date of issuance of the Plan to October 6, 2023 (according to the postmark). The Organizing Committee will conduct the selection through 2 rounds (preliminary and final rounds) from October 13, 2023 to October 27, 2023. The Organizing Committee will select outstanding works to submit to the 8th National Press Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in 2023 before November 8, 2023. The announcement and award ceremony is expected to take place in December 2023.

The award is given to outstanding works in various types of journalism (print, electronic, radio, television, photojournalism) with the structure for each type including: 01 A prize, 02 B prizes, 03 C prizes, 05 Encouragement prizes.

Prize values ​​include: Prize A: 20,000,000 VND/prize; Prize B: 15,000,000 VND/prize; Prize C: 10,000,000 VND/prize; Encouragement Prize: 5,000,000 VND/prize; Excellent collectives are awarded: 10,000,000 VND; Works that entered the final round but did not win a prize are awarded: 1,000,000 VND/work.

The authors and winning works will be awarded prizes and certificates by the Organizing Committee. For the winning groups, the Organizing Committee will submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for consideration to award certificates of merit and prizes.
