On May 21, the Solve for Tomorrow competition in the Southern region was launched with the aim of further promoting the STEM movement, while inspiring and spreading the meaning of this competition more widely to nearly 3 million students in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the Southern region in general.

This is a competition for middle and high school students (with the guidance of teachers), encouraging them to proactively research and apply STEM education to solve local problems.

In addition to the fields of environment and health, the competition expands to humanities topics, encouraging projects on scientific solutions to support the lives of disadvantaged groups.

According to the organizers, Solve for Tomorrow 2024 will be expanded to more localities in the Southern region, especially remote areas, to create opportunities for all students to participate in the competition.

At the launching ceremony, Mr. Kim Yong Sup - Deputy General Director of External Affairs of Samsung Group - presented two STEM creative spaces to representatives of Thuan An Secondary School (Hau Giang) and Nhuan Phu Tan High School (Ben Tre).

Solve for Tomorrow was initiated by Samsung Global in 2010 in the US. In Vietnam, the Solve for Tomorrow competition was first held in 2019.

Up to now, the contest has become an annual creative thinking playground for middle and high school students aged 12 - 18.

STEM Education Bus

Along with the launch program in the Southern region, Samsung has also recently launched the "Solve for Tomorrow Bus" journey with the starting point at Binh Long High School for the Gifted, Binh Phuoc.

This is the first time Samsung has implemented this activity to directly approach schools to popularize STEM knowledge.

The “Solve for Tomorrow Bus” is expected to travel more than 8,000km and stop at schools in all three regions of the country.

Through this, the program is expected to directly reach more than 10,000 students in all three regions, including more than 3,000 students in the Southern region.
