Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan - young scientist with 45 international articles

When deciding to pursue a teaching career, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan always kept in mind that studying and researching is an extremely arduous journey, full of hard work, many obstacles but also very proud. For him, the motivation to come to scientific research is his own passion and determination, especially to contribute to the development of the country's industry.

Although the journey was full of hardships, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan was always happy because of the simple joy of standing in the lecture hall, inspiring generations of students with knowledge of science and technology.

He always strives to seek knowledge, learn from previous generations, interact with domestic and foreign experts; approach and seek opportunities to cooperate with businesses to impart practical knowledge to students; diligently sow good seeds on the furrows of knowledge; sow the passion for exploration, research and discovery of scientific and intellectual horizons; and transmit his youth, creativity and enthusiasm on the path of scientific research.

For him, research results are always linked to training and practical needs; they are inseparable tasks, closely related and mutually influencing each other. Scientific research results are always integrated into lectures, so the lectures become more attractive, knowledge is always updated with vivid realities of life and meets the increasing needs of businesses. On the contrary, it is the questions of students during the teaching process, exchanges, and analysis of existing problems that motivate him to carry out new research topics.

Mentioning Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan is mentioning topics with innovative ideas, creativity and applying knowledge to practical life. In particular, he develops research directions, focusing on solving problems of advanced processing technology, mainly powder technology mixed into dielectric solution in pulsed forming machining, integrated vibration in electric discharge machining, and electrode spraying in pulsed forming machining.

Lecturer Nguyen Huu Phan is one of the outstanding young associate professors of Hanoi University of Industry with 1 ministerial-level project sponsored by the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED); 2 Ministry of Industry and Trade-level projects; 1 Hanoi University of Industry-level project. In particular, he has published nearly 80 domestic and international articles (including 45 ISI/SCOPUS articles, H-index 17).

The works and research of Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan have become valuable references not only for domestic researchers but also for foreign scholars when studying mechanical engineering issues (molds, tools, biomedical products, etc.). In addition, he actively participates in international scientific conferences, especially conferences held abroad to expand relationships, cooperation and develop new research directions.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan represented the group of authors to receive the Third Prize of the 2021 VIFOTEC Award.

In particular, in 2021, the project "Research on manufacturing coatings to improve the quality of gear transmission" by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan and the research team won the Third Prize - VIFOTEC Award organized by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to honor scientists with works of great scientific, economic and social value, which have been and are being effectively applied in Vietnam.

During 16 years of being attached to the teaching profession with enthusiasm, love for the profession, sense of responsibility, creativity and effort, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Huu Phan has been an excellent lecturer for many years, a grassroots emulation fighter and a Ministry of Industry and Trade, awarded certificates of merit by the Minister of Education and Training, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and was honored to receive a certificate of creative labor from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
