ANTD.VN - Mr. Pham Manh Thang has been elected Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD) of PG Bank. Mr. Thang was once known as Deputy General Director of Vietcombank.
On October 23, 2023, Petrolimex Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PG Bank, Stock Code: PGB) held the 2023 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM).
PG Bank's General Meeting of Shareholders has submitted to shareholders for approval 4 main contents, including the approval of the structure and personnel plan for the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board for the 2020-2025 term. The expected candidates have all been assessed and approved by the State Bank of Vietnam and voted by shareholders with a high consensus rate.
According to the voting results at the Congress, the new term Board of Directors will consist of 6 members: Mr. Pham Manh Thang, Mr. Dao Phong Truc Dai, Ms. Dinh Thi Huyen Thanh, Mr. Dinh Thanh Nghiep, Mr. Vuong Phuc Chinh, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam (Independent Board Member).

The Board of Supervisors for the 2020-2025 term consists of 3 members: Mr. Tran Ngoc Dung, Mr. Trinh Manh Hoan, Ms. Ha Hong Mai.
Also this morning, the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board held their first meeting to elect the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Head of the Supervisory Board. Accordingly, Mr. Pham Manh Thang was elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Dao Phong Truc Dai was elected as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Tran Ngoc Dung was elected as Head of the Supervisory Board of PG Bank.
Mr. Pham Manh Thang - the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of PG Bank, born in 1962, is a Doctor of Economics. He has 39 years of experience in the banking and finance sector and is currently the General Director of PG Bank. Previously, Mr. Thang was known as the Deputy General Director of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), retiring from the regime from early May 2023. He joined PG Bank and was appointed as Acting General Director, exercising the powers and duties of the General Director of PG Bank in early July 2023, then appointed General Director from September 15, 2023.
Another notable senior personnel is Mr. Dao Phong Truc Dai, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Dao Phong Truc Dai (born in 1975), is known to have close relations with Thanh Cong Group. He is the General Director of PV-Inconess Investment Joint Stock Company, General Director of Viet Hung Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company, General Director of Viet Hung Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company, and Financial Director of Viet Hung Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company. These units are all related to Thanh Cong Group.
Previously, when Thanh Cong was present at Eximbank, Mr. Dao Phong Truc Dai was also elected to the Board of Directors for the 2020 - 2025 term of this Bank, but resigned at the end of October 2022.
In addition to the content of the personnel structure of the Board of Directors and the Board of Supervisors, the Congress also approved other contents on the restructuring plan associated with bad debt settlement in the period of 2021-2025; approved the plan to increase charter capital to VND 5,000 billion, 2 years earlier than the request of the Prime Minister and the State Bank. In addition, the Congress also approved the change of the trade name and relocation of PG Bank's head office to HEAC Building No. 14-16 Ham Long, Phan Chu Trinh Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi City.
It is known that the HEAC Building is invested by Ham Long Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Company. This enterprise is legally represented by Ms. Le Hong Anh, born in 1975.
Ms. Le Hong Anh is the wife of Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of Thanh Cong Group. She is also the representative of Thanh Cong Auto Service Company Limited; CDA Company Limited; and TCG Land Company Limited (members of Thanh Cong Group).
