From October 17-21, Chery Group successfully held the Global User Conference in Anhui, China, with the participation of about 700 guests from 49 countries, especially the Vietnamese delegation including representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and leaders of Thai Binh province.
Within the framework of the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee awarded the investment registration certificate and business registration certificate to the Geleximco - Chery joint venture.

Milestone
This is an important milestone in realizing the goal of distributing OMODA & JAECOO car lines in Vietnam and will soon propose to invest in building an automobile manufacturing factory in Hung Phu Industrial Park, Tien Hai District, Thai Binh Province with a total estimated investment of 800 million USD.
This event also affirms Chery's long-term commitment to expanding the market and creating great development opportunities for both parties, emphasizing Vietnam's strategic role in becoming a leading automobile manufacturing center in Southeast Asia.

The project is expected to create thousands of jobs for local people, promote technology transfer and develop domestic supply chains.
Thanks to that, the automobile industry in Vietnam will have the opportunity to develop strongly and expand export potential.
With the thorough investment from the Geleximco - Chery joint venture, Vietnam is expected to become the leading automobile manufacturing and exporting center in the region. While the factory is under construction, OMODA & JAECOO will approach the Vietnamese market by importing complete vehicles from Indonesia and is expected to launch the OMODA C5 model by the end of this year.

Commitment to sustainable development
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee expressed his delight at the cooperation progress of the two sides and said: Currently, China is the most important and largest trade partner of Vietnam. The car manufacturing and assembly plant project of Geleximco - Chery joint venture in Thai Binh will contribute to attracting supporting investors to invest in Vietnam in general and Thai Binh province in particular.
The Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee affirmed: With appropriate policies, Thai Binh will provide maximum support so that the project can start construction soon, be implemented on schedule and ensure quality.
Mr. Yin Tongyue - Chairman of Chery Group also said: "The cooperation between Geleximco and Chery is not only based on the consensus between the two sides but also has the support from Vietnamese state agencies, especially Thai Binh province.
This further affirms the importance of the Vietnamese market to Chery, where the Group aims not only for domestic consumption but also for export to Southeast Asian and global markets.
In addition, Chery Group also has a long-term plan to build a research and manufacturing center in Vietnam, to promote production capacity and technological innovation."

Long-term development plan
According to the plan, in the first phase, Chery will focus on distributing gasoline vehicles before expanding to PHEV (mixed gasoline-electric) vehicles, in line with global trends. The factory in Hung Phu Industrial Park is expected to have a total investment of 800 million USD, with a capacity of up to 50,000 vehicles/year when completed in 2026.
OMODA & JAECOO are committed to developing environmentally friendly vehicles, contributing to reducing emissions and promoting the use of clean energy. The Geleximco - Chery joint venture plans to establish the OMODA & JAECOO Vietnam Welfare Fund, allocating a portion of the profits from each vehicle sold to support community activities such as improving the environment, education and healthcare.
