Gold prices hit "the roof" after US President announced massive tax imposition

Gold prices rose sharply after US President Donald Trump announced massive reciprocal tariffs on all goods imported into the US from countries, including Vietnam.

Price of SJC gold bars and gold rings increased dramatically

Accordingly, on April 2, US President Donald Trump announced a tax rate of at least 10% on almost all goods imported into the US. Vietnam is at 46%.

Investors around the world are bracing for potential economic impacts, including higher consumer prices and possible retaliation from trade partners. In this context, gold prices are considered a safe haven. Currently, the world gold price converted at the listed exchange rate is about 98.7 million VND/tael.
