On the afternoon of May 12, Ha Tinh athlete Nguyen Thi Ngoc (born 2002, residing in Co Dam commune, Nghi Xuan district) and her teammates: Nguyen Thi Huyen, Nguyen Thi Hang, Hoang Thi Minh Hanh participated in the final of the women's 4x400m event.

As a result, the Vietnamese team won the gold medal, the Philippine team won the silver medal, and the Malaysian team won the bronze medal.
This is the second SEA Games Nguyen Thi Ngoc has participated in. In her career, the young girl won a gold medal at the National Youth Athletics Championship and a bronze medal at the Southeast Asian Athletics Championship in 2018; and a gold medal at the Ho Chi Minh City Thong Nhat Speed Cup Athletics Championship in 2021.
Athlete Nguyen Thi Ngoc and her teammates brought home 1 gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation.
Up to this point, at the 32nd SEA Games, Ha Tinh athletes have brought home a total of 7 medals. Of which, 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal in athletics and 2 gold medals in Karate.
