Notably, MAXFC 26 is also the first international kickboxing event to take place in Vietnam. The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and the Boxer Training Company (Cocky Buffalo). This is a series of prestigious and reputable kickboxing events, originating from Korea. In the past, the tournament has produced many famous boxers in the world.

MAXFC 26 will feature 8 pairs of 16 fighters from countries and territories such as Japan, China, Korea, Australia, and Taiwan. Vietnam, as the host country, will also have 4 famous kickboxers participating. This event promises to be a great opportunity for Vietnamese fighters to compete and gain experience before competing at the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Thailand in November.

She is participating in the only female match at this event. Phuong Thuy competes in the 52 kg weight class and her expected opponent is boxer Choi Eun-ji.
