Talented female student is a delegate of the 'Children's Parliament'

Student Nguyen Khanh Van (class 9A12, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) is known as a 'talented female student' because in just 3 years of study, she has won 31 medals at competitions at all levels, national and international.
Nguyen Khanh Van is one of the outstanding students participating in the 2nd "Children's Parliament" Mock Session in 2024, which took place in Hanoi for 3 days (September 27-29). The session was chaired by the Central Youth Union, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, in coordination with the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, the National Assembly Office and relevant ministries, departments and branches.
"Where there is a will, there is a way"
During her time studying at Canada International Primary, Secondary and High School, Nguyen Binh Khiem Primary School and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, Van always made efforts in studying and practicing, participating in many domestic and international math and English competitions. From 2021 to 2024, she won 31 medals, including 15 math medals, 16 English medals; 14 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 10 bronze medals. Among these, there are many national and international medals such as: silver medal in TIMO International Math Competition 2024, gold medal in Bebras International Math Competition 2022, bronze medal in SASMO International Math Competition 2022, bronze medal in ASMO International English Competition 2022, bronze medal in UCTO Logical Thinking Olympiad 2024, bronze medal in city-level chess, etc.

Sharing about this achievement, Khanh Van said that as a team leader, she always tries to be a pioneer in the activities of the Tran Dai Nghia High School Team; proactively informs and makes suggestions to teachers to give directions for organizing activities for team members of the entire team as well as the whole school. Participating in many team activities and children's movements so that she and her friends can practice and learn more life skills. "In addition to participating in the team's movements, I am always aware and put the task of studying first. Because I am studying and practicing under the roof of Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, which has a rich tradition of studiousness. I always strive to improve my learning ability through actively exchanging and debating learning content with my friends. "Where there is a will, there is a way", this motto is the guiding principle that helps me strive in studying and practicing team work", Khanh Van shared.

Khanh Van also said that she realized that as long as there is will, there will be many new ideas, positive energy and many paths opened. "With the support of teachers and parents, I have had many opportunities to express myself, spread and fuel my will for my teammates and classmates in Ho Chi Minh City, joining hands to build a new generation of citizens of a dynamic, positive and knowledgeable city," Khanh Van shared.
There needs to be a balance between studying and participating in activities.
The female student also said that the titles she has achieved, to her, are a recognition of all her efforts, attempts and determination in her studies and in the activities of the Youth Union and the children's movement.

During my studies, the achievements at school and district levels have given me more motivation and confidence to strive for higher achievements at city, national and international levels. "I always try to study to spread my knowledge across cultural subjects and focus on my major subjects of English and math. The international math and English medals have given me more spirit to study and discover my own potential in being passionate and exploring new knowledge of the subject," Khanh Van shared.

Notably, not only is she a good student, she has also actively participated in Team activities and received many certificates of merit at all levels. "I realize that there needs to be a balance between studying and participating in activities. The consistent achievements in both studying and activities help me to improve myself and become a useful citizen of the country," Khanh Van said. Regarding Team activities and children's movements, she has always tried to express herself and has been selected as a Children's Council Delegate 5 times in a row. With that effort, Khanh Van became a delegate to the "Children's National Assembly" for the second time in 2024. Khanh Van said: "It is an honor for me to become an official delegate at the "Children's National Assembly" Mock Session. Looking forward to the session, I always try to learn and listen to the opinions and aspirations of the city's young voters to bring those shares and recommendations to the National Assembly, contributing to promoting children's participation rights and helping children across the country in general to be guaranteed the right to study and practice; to live and study in a healthy school environment".
