On March 19, Mr. Phan Tan Quang - Principal of Le Quy Don Secondary School (Dak Djrang Commune, Mang Yang District, Gia Lai Province) said that he was making a report to the People's Committee of Dak Djrang Commune and the Department of Education and Training of Mang Yang District about the assault of a student of the school.

Accordingly, recently on Facebook appeared a clip longer than 4 minutes recording a scene of a female student in uniform being beaten by a group of other female students in an empty lot.

The female student beaten in the clip was identified as TH, a 9th grade student at Le Quy Don Secondary School (Dak Djrang commune, Mang Yang district).

In the clip, a group of 3-4 female students rushed in to beat and slap female student H. in the face. Being beaten, H. just held her head and endured the beating without any resistance. Seeing that the victim did not fight back, the group of female students continued to pull her hair, take off her jacket, and repeatedly kick her head and body, along with many curses.

It is worth mentioning that the incident was witnessed by a group of other students, but these students did not intervene but instead cheered and recorded the clip.

Mr. Phan Tan Quang said that after receiving information about the incident, the school coordinated with Dak Djrang Commune Police to invite the students involved to work.

Through the process of working with the female students, the school determined that the incident arose from a conflict on social media. H. was beaten by 2 female students in class 9C and 1 female student in class 9A. Many students stood around watching and used their phones to record the incident.

“Immediately after receiving the information, we visited, encouraged, and helped H. stabilize her psychology so that she could return to school soon. The school also invited the families of the children involved to work, asking for cooperation in education and deterrence. At the same time, we will review and educate those who were present at the scene of the incident but did not take any action to prevent it or inform adults to prevent it together,” said Mr. Quang.
