People's Artist Quoc Anh: "Making a movie is not easy"

(Dan Tri) - People's Artist Quoc Anh shared frankly about making movies for theatrical release and the tastes of today's audiences.

Sharing at the event, Pham Duc Dung said that after 5 years of absence, he was moved to return to art with a new mindset.

"The launch of Bach Ma Film Studio is an important milestone not only for my life but also for the film studio's crew. With 12 years of filmmaking, I have always received the audience's support and feedback to help me do better art.

I feel lucky to collaborate with dedicated colleagues so we have had films that left an impression on the audience...", Pham Duc Dung said.

The male director said that Bach Ma is not only a place to produce films and events, but also a common home for artists to gather, helping viewers understand more about art.

Pham Duc Dung revealed that in 2025, he and his crew will start filming the first movie to serve the audience.

We will try to make 3-4 movies a year. The crew wants to make quality, spectacular movies," said Mr. Dung.

Sharing at the event, People's Artist Quoc Anh said that the dynamism and creativity of young directors will produce many good films.

"I hope that when you make films, you have to entertain, but you have to leave the audience with humanity, still keeping the Vietnamese soul to be attractive," the People's Artist commented.

Artist Quoc Anh also said that directors in the South are very good at making entertainment and cinema films. He hopes that film studios in the North will also have new developments to produce more quality films.

"Making a movie is not easy. In addition to a good script, you need a professional director and actors. Audience tastes are also different from the past. If there is no attraction, you cannot bring them to the theater.

Recently, we have seen Tran Thanh making very attractive movies. That is also something young directors should learn," People's Artist Quoc Anh frankly said.

Meritorious Artist Tien Quang also emphasized that there is no measuring stick for making art. When making a film, some people like it, some don't.

"Only the audience can measure the popularity of an artist. A successful film has the participation of many people, through many experiences. Therefore, we need the audience's feedback to play our roles better," artist Tien Quang expressed.

Pham Duc Dung (born in 1990), is known as the director of many comedy films, such as: Cry or laugh, Future series ... with the participation of many famous actors such as: People's Artist Trung Hieu, Meritorious Artist Quang Thang, Meritorious Artist Kim Xuyen, Hieu Hien...
