(QNO) - On the evening of March 31, the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nong Son district organized a meeting with businessmen and investment promotion in Ho Chi Minh City. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Van Dung also attended.
At the meeting, Nong Son district leaders introduced and invited businesses to invest in a number of projects based on the economic development and ecotourism potential of the district such as: Dai Binh eco-tourism village, Chua mountain - Tay Vien hot spring, Hon Kem Da Dung, livestock farm applying advanced technology in Que Lam commune, ecological agricultural area combined with planting large timber forests Dai Binh - Khuong Que...
In recent times, Nong Son has focused resources on leveling the ground, investing in infrastructure, transportation, reviewing and adjusting planning to create land funds and premises for investors when needed. Up to now, 100% of villages have roads to the district center. The district has planned 2 industrial clusters with a total area of 65 hectares.
Nong Son also focuses on improving the investment environment, administrative reform, enhancing the effectiveness of investment promotion as well as actively supporting development projects. The forms of agricultural production organization are being innovated towards strengthening production linkages along the value chain. Up to now, the whole district has 14 OCOP products recognized as 3 stars and 4 stars.
Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung welcomed and highly appreciated Nong Son district for organizing the forum to call for investment in Ho Chi Minh City. The forum is a bridge for people from the homeland who work and live far from home to have the opportunity to meet, strengthen their hometown ties, create conditions for investment, business, and socio-economic development in their hometown.
According to comrade Le Van Dung, despite many difficulties, Nong Son is a land rich in revolutionary tradition, rich in culture, with many potentials and strengths for development. If investment is made locally, it will create conditions for socio-economic development and create jobs for the people, ensuring social security.
“In parallel with calling for investment, Nong Son district also implements the program “Homeland Love” to call for resources to eliminate temporary houses. This is a major policy of the province, in which Nong Son is implementing this task well.
The houses built from the love and affection of children working far from home contain profound humanistic meanings, helping many households fulfill their dream of settling down, stabilizing their lives, gradually reducing poverty sustainably, bringing the district to the new rural destination by 2025 as planned" - Comrade Le Van Dung emphasized.
According to the plan, the delegation of Nong Son district will visit and learn from the experience of attracting investment in industrial parks, and learn from high-tech agricultural models associated with tourism in Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, promote activities to support local businesses in promoting and introducing OCOP products, craft villages and connecting sustainable production and consumption networks.
On this occasion, businesses and sponsors supported Nong Son district to build 31 houses for people in difficult circumstances (50 million VND/house); supported 70 million VND, 1 book library, 13 water filters for schools and 50 million VND for the Fund for poor students overcoming difficulties.
