The film, adapted from the book by Colin Meloy and Carson Ellis, will bring to the screen a magical adventure through an enchanted forest. The film is scheduled for release next year, with no specific date yet announced.

DreamWorks/Universal is also in the animation race in 2025 with The Bad Guys 2 directed by Pierre Perifel.
