The banking sector continues to be on the list of trillion-dong budget contributors in 2024 and received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee. Which banks are they?

8 banks in the top

On the afternoon of December 31, the Ho Chi Minh City State Treasury held a media conference to report on the results of Ho Chi Minh City's state budget revenue and expenditure in 2024.

At the conference, 89 collectives received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in directing, managing and paying the state budget in Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.

Of which, 33 enterprises paid over 1,000 billion VND in taxes, 26 enterprises paid the budget from 500 to under 1,000 billion VND.

Among the 33 enterprises with budget contributions of over 1,000 billion VND, there are 8 domestic and international banks participating, including: HDBank, ACB, Sacombank, VIB, OCB, NamABank, HSBC Vietnam and Shinhan Vietnam.

Besides, SSI Securities Company and Prudential Vietnam Life Insurance also appeared on this list.

HDBank to pay more than VND 5,600 billion in taxes in 2024, up 104%

HDBank representative said that this is the 6th consecutive year that HDBank has been honored by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee as an enterprise with outstanding achievements in complying with tax laws and fulfilling its tax obligations to the state budget.

"These results not only demonstrate HDBank's sustainable development but also demonstrate the right business strategy, flexible adaptability to economic fluctuations and strong commitment to contributing to the state budget," said a representative of HDBank.

In 2024, HDBank paid more than VND 5,600 billion to the state budget, an increase of 104% compared to 2023. Accordingly, HDBank continued to successfully complete its task of participating in socio-economic development in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general, increasing its contribution to the state budget in a year of many economic challenges.

With positive business performance, in the 6 years from 2019-2024, HDBank has contributed 14,324 billion VND to the state budget.
