Throughout the journey, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong and leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Urban Railway Management Board (MAUR) welcomed the delegation solemnly and thoughtfully.

Also this morning, General Secretary To Lam and the delegation of leaders at all levels of the Central Government and leaders of Ho Chi Minh City experienced metro line No. 1 Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien.

The leader of Urban Railway Company No. 1 shared: "The General Secretary boarded the train at Ben Thanh station and moved to Tan Cang station. On the train, General Secretary To Lam visited and talked with the people. The trip demonstrated the deep concern of the Party and State leaders for the public transport system, affirming the important role of metro line No. 1 in contributing to modernizing urban infrastructure, reducing traffic congestion and improving the quality of life of Ho Chi Minh City residents."

Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) is the first urban railway line in Ho Chi Minh City with a length of about 19.7km with 14 stations, including 3 underground stations and 11 elevated stations. The line has a total of 17 trains, each with a capacity of up to 930 passengers. The maximum speed of the train is 110km/h on the elevated and 80km/h in the tunnel, ensuring fast and convenient travel for people.

To date, metro line 1 has operated 11,776 trains and transported more than 4.4 million passengers, reaching 194% of the transport plan.
