On the afternoon of August 25, at the private home of the late author Le Duy Hanh, a number of artists from the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association gathered to burn incense in memory of him on the first anniversary of his death.
Attending the event was People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association. During her working trip to the South, she came to burn incense in memory of an active member who had served many terms on the Executive Committee and also held the role of Vice President of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association.

People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui highly appreciated the program "Remembering the late author Le Duy Hanh" organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association (August 4), "It is a noble gesture towards a playwright who has been the leader of the Association for 25 years, and is also a talented captain of the Ho Chi Minh City theater in particular and the whole country in general. Currently, many of his works still carry the breath of the times, at the same time spreading great humanistic values to contemporary life" - People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui commented.

She said that before coming to Ho Chi Minh City, she attended the premiere of the play "The Century Night Sun" by author Le Duy Hanh, directed by People's Artist Hoang Quynh Mai, on the stage of the Vietnam Opera House. She believes that with more than 60 scripts he left behind, many art units, especially young directors, will have a lot of material to continue staging, creating, bringing to the stage many new works following the creative direction of author Le Duy Hanh.

Also attending his first death anniversary were artists: People's Artist My Uyen, Meritorious Artist painter Le Van Dinh, Meritorious Artist Le Nguyen Dat, Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu, director Nguyen Hong Dung, director Ton That Can, director Le My Phuong, Ms. Hoang Thi Thuong - former director of Hoa Binh Theater... Dr. Hoang Thi Hanh, wife of the late author Le Duy Hanh, thanked the artists for always remembering him, for the family that was a great comfort when she and her children lost a great spiritual support in life.
She believes that the scripts he left behind, which have just been printed into two collections by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, will be staged, promoted, and brought to the public as the family wishes.
