Hanoi plans to reduce 6 departments and 109 offices after restructuring the apparatus.

(NLDO) - According to the plan of the Hanoi People's Committee, after the arrangement, the city will have 15 departments, 6 less than in 2024 and 61 less district, town and city offices.


The Hanoi People's Committee has just had a plan to reorganize the city's government apparatus. Accordingly, after the reorganization, it is expected that the city's government agencies will have 15 departments, a reduction of 6 departments compared to 2024.

These 15 departments include: Home Affairs, Justice, Finance, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment, Science and Technology, Culture and Sports, Education and Training, Health, City Inspectorate, City People's Committee Office, Ethnicity and Religion, Tourism, Construction, Planning - Architecture. The number of rooms under the rearranged department is only 150 rooms, a decrease of 48 rooms compared to 2024 and a decrease of 72 rooms compared to 2017.

For the district, county and town blocks, after the rearrangement, there will be 10 specialized departments at the district level, ensuring the number of departments under the People's Committee according to regulations, including: Internal Affairs, Justice, Finance, Education and Training, Economy - Infrastructure and Urban, Culture - Science and Information, Health, Inspection, Office of the People's Council and People's Committee, Natural Resources and Environment (in districts and towns, the Department of Agriculture and Environment). After the rearrangement, there will be only 300 departments, a decrease of 61 departments compared to 2024.

Hanoi assigned districts, towns and cities to complete the issuance of resolutions on establishment, decisions on staff allocation and decisions on personnel work for specialized departments after restructuring the apparatus in the period from February 18 to 20.

After receiving the conclusion of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, the City People's Committee will complete and approve the project, submit it to the City People's Council for approval and organize a conference to announce the decisions to establish departments according to the direction of the Central Government.
