The financial reports of the fourth quarter of 2024 of many enterprises show that the amount of cash in the past year has increased sharply. For example, by the end of 2024, Vingroup Corporation (stock code VIC) was the enterprise with the highest amount of cash and cash equivalents on the stock exchange by the end of 2025 with nearly VND 47,762 billion. A subsidiary of Vingroup, Vinhomes Joint Stock Company (stock code VHM), also recorded an increase of more than 70% in cash and cash equivalents after one year, to VND31,125 billion by the end of 2024.
Many businesses have high cash balances by the end of 2024
Next is Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company (stock code BSR) at the end of 2024, recorded cash and cash equivalents of more than VND 43,017 billion, an increase of 13% after one year but a decrease of more than VND 1,260 billion compared to the record level at the end of the third quarter of 2024.
Businesses with double-digit cash growth over the past year also include Mobile World Corporation (stock code MWG). At the end of 2024, Mobile World reported that its cash and cash equivalents reached more than VND 34,000 billion, an increase of more than 40% compared to the beginning of 2024. Similarly, FPT Corporation (stock code FPT) at the end of last year also owned cash and cash equivalents of nearly VND 31,000 billion, an increase of 29% compared to the figure at the beginning of 2024.

However, in 2024, the interest rates of banks will be low, so the interest on deposits of many businesses will only increase insignificantly compared to previous years. For example, Mobile World had financial revenue of VND 2,376.5 billion last year (including interest on deposits, bond interest, exchange rate difference interest...), an increase of more than VND 200 billion compared to 2023. Meanwhile, Vinamilk's financial revenue in 2024 reached VND 1,585.6 billion, a decrease of VND 130.7 billion compared to 2023...
