Struggling to escape
A very notable detail is that 3/4 of the teams at the bottom of the V-League 2024-2025 rankings are former champions of this tournament. Those teams are Da Nang (ranked 14th, with 4 points), SLNA (ranked 12th, 9 points) and Quang Nam (ranked 11th, 11 points). The remaining team has competed for the V-League championship in many past seasons: Hai Phong (ranked 13th, 8 points).

The slowness in strengthening the force and some problems at the beginning of the season made the above teams unable to accelerate in the past stages of the season. In the remaining days of V-League 2024-2025, they do not want to be slow any longer.
As for Da Nang and SLNA, these are the two teams with the most unstable coaching bench. They have used many different coaches since the beginning of the season, but none of them have created absolute trust. SLNA replaced coach Pham Anh Tuan with coach Phan Nhu Thuat, but this change has not brought much effect.
Meanwhile, Da Nang FC changed coaches twice. The person leading the Han River team in the first rounds of the current season was Mr. Truong Viet Hoang (he was registered as Technical Director, but in fact held the role of Head Coach). As for the second-to-last team in the rankings, Hai Phong, the port city team has not changed as much as Da Nang. Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem is still in his position, and Hai Phong's top foreign player, Lucas Vinicius (often called Lucao), is still there. The expected change in Hai Phong is probably a change in spirit.
Hot race ahead
In fact, what happened in the early stages of the 2024-2025 season shows that Hai Phong is not playing poorly. Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem's team occasionally lost points in some rounds of the V-League partly due to their lack of concentration at the end of the match, and partly due to Hai Phong's luck. Hai Phong often conceded goals in the final minutes of the match. If they can change their lack of concentration in the upcoming rounds, the performance of the Hai Phong team can change.

In addition, in the matches against direct opponents in the race for relegation such as SHB Da Nang (0-0 draw), HAGL (2-0 win) and Ha Tinh (1-1 draw), Hai Phong has not lost yet. For Quang Nam Club, being able to return to play at home in Tam Ky (Quang Nam) for the remainder of the 2024-2025 season will be a great motivation for the Quang Nam team to change their performance in the coming period. In the early stages of the current season, Quang Nam had to choose Hoa Xuan Stadium in Da Nang as their home field. Playing at a neutral field has caused the number of home spectators of Quang Nam Club to decrease significantly in recent times, so they cannot enjoy the true home atmosphere.
In addition to the four teams at highest risk including Da Nang, Hai Phong, SLNA and Quang Nam, the group racing for the right to stay in the league can also include Binh Dinh (ranked 10th, 12 points), Ho Chi Minh City Club (ranked 9th, 14 points), HAGL (ranked 6th, 16 points). However, these teams still have their own characteristics when playing, they are able to overcome difficult times thanks to the "annoying" in their playing style.
The race between the bottom teams will make the rest of the V-League 2024-2025 more exciting. No team wants to drop to the lower division next season, so each team will try their best in the matches they are present, making their upcoming matches very tense and worth watching.
We should also mention HAGL - the team currently ranked 6th. This is a team that in previous seasons was always in the situation of "spending their youth to stay in the league" but this season, it seems to be "more decent". HAGL is unlikely to be in the championship race (or top 3) but it is also unlikely to fall into the red light group. When the lower teams are struggling to escape, HAGL just "slowly" moves forward. With its current strength, HAGL can be in the middle of the rankings at the end of the season.
