Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association (January 22, 1975 - January 22, 2025) and celebrating the traditional Cambodian New Year in 2025

(Quang Binh Portal) - On the morning of April 16, 2025, the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Quang Binh province held a ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association (January 22, 1975 - January 22, 2025) and celebrate the traditional Cambodian New Year 2025.

Comrade Luong Ngoc Binh, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Quang Binh province attended.

The Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Quang Binh province was established in April 2017. The association is a bridge for former volunteer soldiers, former experts who helped the Cambodian revolution in the period 1979 - 1989 and Cambodian people living in Quang Binh province to exchange, meet and recall memories of the difficult and fierce years in the process of fulfilling their noble international duties.

Since its inception, the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association of Quang Binh province has had many rich and diverse activities, focusing on current events such as: Celebrating the Victory Day of the Southwestern Border War with the Cambodian army and people to overthrow the Pol Pot genocidal regime, bringing revival to the country and people of Cambodia on January 7, 1979; commemorating the day the two countries officially established diplomatic relations on June 24, 1967. In particular, from April 14 to 16 every year, the Association has organized the Cambodian New Year so that former volunteer soldiers, former experts and Cambodian people can relive the Tet holidays in the neighboring land...

At the ceremony, delegates exchanged and met to recall the arduous and fierce years in the process of fulfilling their noble international duties, wished a happy Cambodian New Year, and determined to continue to promote and perform their duties better in the coming time, contributing to building the "Forever green, forever sustainable" relationship between the two nations.
