(Dan Tri) - A group led by Nguyen Hung Trang has just committed 6 thefts at temples and pagodas in Ha Nam province and Hanoi.
On January 26, information from Ha Nam Provincial Police said that the Criminal Police Department of this province's Police arrested 5 subjects to investigate the acts of property theft and consumption of stolen property.
Police identified Nguyen Hung Trang (41 years old), residing in Yen Tien commune, district of Y Yen, Nam Dinh province, as the ringleader.

According to the investigation, from the beginning of January to January 23, Trang's group committed 6 thefts at temples and pagodas in Kim Bang town, Duy Tien town, Ha Nam province and Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi city.
The items stolen by Trang's group included the royal decree box, the nine-dragon throne, the hat, the throne, the memorial tablet, the palanquin pedestal, the eight treasures, etc. The police determined that the total value of the items stolen by Trang's group was about 1 billion VND.
Trang contacted and sold these stolen items to Duong Ba Thi (55 years old), residing in Lam town, district of Y Yen, Nam Dinh province.
Trang divided the money from the sale among her accomplices and spent it on herself.
This is the largest theft of property at places of worship ever busted by Ha Nam Provincial Police.
