Wanted internationally but still stealing in China

(Dan Tri) - Despite being internationally wanted, after fleeing to China, Bui Van De continued to commit crimes and was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

On February 21, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police informed that the Exit Management Department and the Criminal Police Department of the unit coordinated with the Border Control Station of Huu Nghi International Border Gate (Lang Son) to receive Bui Van De (born in 1990), from Yen Phu commune, Lac Son district, Hoa Binh province.

Bui Van De is wanted internationally by Thanh Hoa Provincial Police for theft of property.

Previously in 2019, Bui Van De stole property in Dong Tho ward, Thanh Hoa city and then fled to China.

After fleeing to China, Bui Van De continued to commit the crime of theft and was arrested by Chinese authorities and sentenced to 5 years in prison (2019-2024).

After completing his prison term, on February 10, Chinese authorities handed Bui Van De over to Vietnamese authorities at the Huu Nghi international border gate.

Currently, the Immigration Department and the Criminal Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police have arrested and extradited Bui Van De to hand him over to Thanh Hoa City Police to resume investigation and apply temporary detention measures according to regulations.
