On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024), on the morning of December 19 in the capital Vientiane, the Vietnam Cultural Center in Laos, Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School and the May 19 Art Troupe jointly organized the art program "The Color of Red Flowers."
Attending the event were representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos; representatives of the Vietnamese Association in Vientiane capital and many officials, teachers and students of Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese bilingual school.
According to VNA correspondent in Vientiane, speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong, Principal of Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School, said that this event has great significance in contributing to preserving and fostering the good, pure and loyal relationship between Laos and Vietnam; at the same time, emphasizing that under this school, in addition to teaching, each teacher also carries a noble responsibility as a pioneer and actively contributes to the movement of developing Vietnamese language in schools, as messengers to spread the thousand-year-old culture of the country and people of Vietnam to friends of the beautiful Land of a Million Elephants.
At the performance, artists and students of Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School brought to the audience unique art performances imbued with cultural identity, praising President Ho Chi Minh and the great friendship between Vietnam and Laos, praising the love for the country and people...
In addition, circus and magic performances from artists of the Vietnam Circus Federation brought the audience, especially the students, a vibrant and bustling atmosphere, and were even more attractive when they could directly participate in interacting and performing with the artists.
Through activities like this, it is not only a bridge in cultural exchange, but also a symbol of solidarity and friendship between the people of Vietnam and Laos.
According to the Organizing Committee, this is a cultural event of great significance, contributing to preserving and nurturing the exemplary, loyal, pure, "unique" relationship in the world, a priceless common asset of the two Parties and two peoples for future generations, so that the Vietnam-Laos relationship "will forever be stronger than mountains and rivers" as affirmed by President Kaysone Phomvihane.
The people of Vietnam and Laos are always proud of the similarities between the two nations in terms of history, geography and culture, the bond of fate between the two nations has become a strong alliance to fight against the common enemy, sharing joys and sorrows, standing side by side to overcome countless difficulties to liberate the nation, unify the country as well as in the cause of building and developing the country today.
