Quynh Anh (University of Economics, Danang University) and Hue Ngan (National Economics University) chose TOEIC for graduation, increasing job opportunities after graduation.
The University of Economics, University of Danang currently requires an English output standard of 450 TOEIC for the major of E-commerce. Therefore, Nguyen Ngoc Quynh Anh, a final year student, decided to take the TOEIC exam to meet the school's graduation standards.
"Realizing that TOEIC is a widely recognized international certificate, suitable for graduation requirements and job applications, I registered for the exam," the female student shared. In addition, she also wanted to re-evaluate her English ability by trying a certificate exam.

Quynh Anh’s major in E-commerce also requires frequent use of English, especially in reading and understanding international reports. For her, English is also the main language for research and essay writing, serving the requirements of school and her own learning needs.
In particular, the 990 TOEIC certificate and the ability to apply English in practice helped Quynh Anh successfully apply for an internship position in line with her original orientation. She is currently an intern in the UI/UX design department at a company in Da Nang.
Similar to Quynh Anh, Duong Hue Ngan (Hanoi), a student at the National Economics University, aims for a high TOEIC score to graduate and find good job opportunities. Ngan scored 985 on the TOEIC in the exam last May.
Hue Ngan said that when she was about to graduate, she realized that many companies used the TOEIC certificate as a standard for evaluating candidates in recruitment, so she decided to study and take the exam for this certificate. "Thanks to that, I successfully applied for the position of Branding & Communication staff of a technology corporation while I was still a student, preparing to graduate," Ngan said.

According to Ngan, the TOEIC preparation process has helped her improve her English skills to apply in the working environment. In her current job, she confidently uses English to communicate, report and present issues, and even debate. "English is one of the most important tools to help me complete my work well," she added.
In Vietnam, more than 500 corporations, general companies, and large enterprises in many different fields use TOEIC as a measure in evaluating and screening candidates when recruiting, such as telecommunications (Vinaphone, Mobiphone, Viettel...), aviation (Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar...), banking (Vietcombank, VPBank, Techcombank, ACB...), IT, electronics (LG, Toshiba, Fujitsu, FPT...).
A representative of IIG Vietnam Education Organization said that the TOEIC certificate is the most suitable choice for working people who need to use English in an international working environment. This certificate helps learners access knowledge and practice skills through topics such as Business, Finance and banking, Advertisement, Manufacture, Health, Entertainment... and work situations in the office such as signing contracts, sending emails, presenting, reporting, attending meetings, meeting partners, talking with customers...
Keeping up with changes in workplace communication trends and life, the Educational Testing Service (ETS) has made timely updates in the structure and content of the test to accurately reflect the use of English in real-life working environments.
Therefore, many students today study and equip themselves with TOEIC certificates to improve their ability to use English at work, meet human resource standards and integration needs of businesses. The certificate includes three test options: TOEIC Listening & Reading, TOEIC Speaking & Writing and TOEIC Speaking.
