The above information was shared by Associate Professor, Dr. Takuji Araki - Executive Committee Member of the Japanese Society of Interventional Radiology, Department of Diagnostic Imaging - Yamanashi University Hospital (Japan) at the International Conference "Application of high-tech diagnostic imaging in new-age cancer screening" organized by Bernard International Intensive Medical System last January.
Disease prevention, early detection
According to Associate Professor Takuji Araki, Japan focuses on preventive medicine from the beginning to reduce the number of people with diseases. This is very beneficial for individuals, society and the country.
The methods recommended for disease prevention include encouraging people to improve their lifestyle, including not drinking too much alcohol; and regularly having health check-ups, especially using the Ningen Dock method. Regular Ningen Dock combined with maintaining a scientific lifestyle and improving the living environment are three factors that help Japanese people live long.

Japan has done a lot of research on the Ningen Dock method and conducts a lot of tests to check people's lifestyle and diseases, especially cancer.
From 2016 to 2018, there was a study in Japan on the implementation of the Ningen Dock method. The results showed that out of nearly 6.4 million people screened for lung cancer, 26,367 had cancer or were suspected of having cancer. Out of 5.6 million people screened for stomach cancer, 39,828 people were found to have cancer or were suspected of having cancer. Out of more than 6.1 million people screened for colorectal cancer, 83,587 had cancer or were suspected of having cancer...
According to the Association's report Ningen Dock, the Ningen Dock model helps detect cancer at a high rate. In particular, the rate of cancer patients detected early is very high, from 80 - 100% in stages 1 - 2. The 5-year survival rate of this group of patients is 4 - 5 times higher than that of the non-screened group.
Regular health check-up packages sometimes miss early lesions, which can cause you to miss the golden treatment period.
Good experts, high technology
According to Associate Professor Takuji Araki, in addition to a team of skilled imaging diagnostic experts certified by the Ningen Dock Association, the Ningen Dock method also uses imaging diagnostic tools: CT-Scanner, MRI, PET CT, endoscopy, and advanced imaging technology. This allows the detection of many diseases in many different organs, while also assessing changes in the images of organs in the body. Especially in the cancer screening package, experts focus on finding lesions, cancers, and even the smallest disorders.
"The advantage of the Ningen Dock method is that it helps increase life expectancy through early detection of the disease as well as early and timely treatment solutions, which also reduces pressure on patients. In terms of economic factors, the Ningen Dock method is highly effective, but it also depends on the service costs of each country.

In Japan, regular health check-ups are covered by insurance, but Ningen Dock check-ups are not covered by insurance. However, more and more businesses are willing to share and pay about 30% of the cost of Ningen Dock check-ups for managers and senior employees. The number of people using the Ningen Dock method has increased every year. Among them, foreigners, especially Vietnamese people, who come to Japan for health screening using the Ningen Dock method have increased every year. According to Global Health & Medicine, 2022; as of March 2017, the total number of foreign visitors to Ningen Dock at the National Center for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM) in Japan has increased about 10 times compared to the previous year. The number of Vietnamese people checking in has increased rapidly since September 2017. This also means that Vietnamese people tend to care about their health and have increased every year.
Ningen Dock App
In Vietnam, Bernard International Intensive Medical System has deployed the Ningen Dock model, applying high-tech diagnostic imaging such as CT scan (Computerized Tomography); Whole-body MRI (Whole-body Pulsed Diffusion Magnetic Resonance Imaging) integrated with specialized emulsion coils, combined with advanced imaging technology (AI PACS) integrated synchronously into the HIS (hospital management) system, LIS (test management)... in screening and early diagnosis of cancer.
Whole body magnetic resonance imaging (whole body MRI) is used in in-depth screening and early detection of cancer risk.

In August 2023, the world's leading medical technology group - GE Healthcare announced: "Bernard Healthcare becomes the first medical center in Vietnam to display and apply GE Healthcare's Comprehensive Imaging Diagnostic Solution for screening and early diagnosis of Cancer and Vascular diseases". Through this solution, Bernard Healthcare and Yamanashi University Hospital connect directly with experts, share and consult on each case.
