Author Le Duy Hanh was good at mathematics. After graduating from university, he received a scholarship to study abroad. But instead of going to the US to get a doctorate, from March to June 1970, he was arrested and detained at the Metropolitan Police Department and Chi Hoa Prison. After his release from prison, from June 1970 to June 1972, he continued to operate secretly in the inner city of Saigon.
