Given the great significance and significance of the historic Dien Bien Phu victory, Vietnam Television identified the propaganda for the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory as an extremely important political task. Therefore, the station has developed a comprehensive propaganda plan early on, on a large scale, with many key programs and implemented synchronously on all platforms.
TV bridge "Under the flag of Victory"
One of the highlights of the propaganda campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory is the television bridge "Under the Flag of Victory" broadcast at 8:00 p.m. on May 5, 2024 on VTV1 channel. 5 bridge points - Ceremony Ground Area, Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument at D1 Hill (Dien Bien); Ba Dinh Square (Hanoi); Lam Son Square (Thanh Hoa); Kon Klor Communal House (Kon Tum) and Thu Ngu Flagpole Relic Site (HCMC) - bring stories and emotions in harmony with the heroic epic of Dien Bien. In particular, the Dien Bien Phu bridge point is designed in the space of the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument, based on 56 steps symbolizing 56 days and nights of digging mountains and sleeping in tunnels to create the historic victory.
To prepare for the program, the Entertainment Program Production Team researched sources of documents and searched for historical witnesses to produce a reportage to provide a comprehensive picture of the Dien Bien Phu victory with a new, emotional perspective. Music and poetry blend together, creating an artistic connection throughout the program, contributing to spreading patriotism, spirit, and strength of Dien Bien Phu - "the meeting place that history reserved for wars of aggression".
VTV special "Dien Bien Phu - View from France"
With only 4 months to research and film in Vietnam and France, the VTV special “Dien Bien Phu - View from France” was a rushed journey for the production team of the Foreign Television Department. The crew exploited the massive amount of documents about the campaign at the Archives Center of the French Ministry of Defense and the French National Assembly to access many newly declassified documents, many information that has not been or has rarely been mentioned about this historical event.
During the production process, the production team met with historical witnesses from France and Vietnam, consulted with experts, processed a huge amount of information, and used many vivid images combined with impressive graphics to present the content in a realistic yet captivating way.
VTV special "Dien Bien Phu - View from France" (broadcast at 8:10 p.m. on May 7, 2024 on VTV1) promises to bring valuable, never-before-revealed information to the audience about the Dien Bien Phu victory.
