Musician Giang Son said that "Sol Dream" was inspired by the title of the song "Midday Dream" that she composed exactly 20 years ago, which is also a "variation" of her own name - which means the Sol note in music.

That is Giang Son's dream, a dream about music, to roam freely, to explore, to experiment, with the musical styles that he loves such as Pop, contemporary folk, chamber music, jazz, blues, even rock...

"It's a true live concert about my music, introducing to everyone the brainchild that I have cherished for so long, that I am dedicated to, that I am passionate about. An outdoor music night in a large space of about 2,000 people - it is truly a dream that I have longed for and pondered for many years" - Giang Son shared.

"Sol's Dream" took place on the evening of February 15 at the outdoor stage of Park City Urban Area, Hanoi. The program brought together the voices of Thanh Lam, Tung Duong, Ha Tran, Khanh Linh, Ha Linh, Hoang Dung, Thuy Chi... Musician Giang Son said she was very touched when the singers performing in the program all confirmed that they did not receive any salary.

"I was extremely touched when the singers said that, although of course I couldn't let that happen" - Giang Son said.

Singer Tung Duong expressed to the musician that he is like a family member, a real singer, so money and salary are not discussed. "I am sure that the singers also share the same love for Giang Son" - singer Tung Duong shared.

In "Sol's Dream", Giang Son's 40-year musical journey will be recreated through her compositions. There are works that she wrote when she was in her twenties, and then "Midday Dream", "Grass and Rain", "Autumn Can"... The female musician will also introduce some new songs that have never been released, including 2 songs performed by Thanh Lam and Thuy Chi.

Music director Luu Ha An and stage director Xuan Truong were in charge. Giang Son said that musician Luu Ha An is her close brother, who often arranges her songs. The two worked closely together to bring the audience a show with quiet moments interspersed with explosions.

Sharing about the combination of famous singers in the music night, musician Luu Ha An said that looking at the list of singers participating in the program, he thought he had a "soccer team full of superstars".

"The problem is how to let everyone sing their favorite song without "arguing". In case everyone can't agree on who sings which song, I just turn off my phone and don't dare turn it on until the rehearsal day" - musician Luu Ha An said.

"Sol Dream" is the first music night in 2025 of the Phieu Du Show music series produced by Thien Binh.
